Devoted Pet Lovers

58, Accountant

63, Retail Manager

About Us:
Hello! We are Tracey and Michael, a non-smoking, recently (semi) retired, and active couple based in Brisbane Australia but looking to relocate to NZ for a while and explore everything this beautiful country has to offer.

New Retirees with a Passion for Travel:
As we work towards full retirement, we're embracing the freedom that comes with it. Our love for travel and adventure has led us to offer housesitting services, allowing us to gain a local perspective of the areas we visit while ensuring your home is well-taken care of.

Active Lifestyle:
Being a fit and active couple, we enjoy outdoor activities and are more than capable of looking after pets. Walking dogs, playing fetch, or simply providing companionship - we welcome the opportunity to keep your furry friends happy and healthy during our stay.

Professional Background:
With a past professional background in Accounting and Retail, we bring a wealth of organisational skills and attention to detail to our housesitting endeavours. Currently running our own online e-commerce business, we've found the perfect balance between work and leisure during this exciting chapter of our lives.

Versatility in Living Spaces:
Having lived in houses, apartments, and rural properties, we are adaptable to various living environments. Our experiences on rural properties have also given us a deep appreciation for the unique needs of countryside homes.

Pet Enthusiasts:
As we embark on our travel journey, our hearts ache a little for the wagging tails and cozy purrs we’ve left behind. You see, we don’t have pets of our own right now, but our lives have been profoundly enriched by the companionship of many furry friends.
We have looked after many different animals throughout our lives, including various breeds of dogs, cats, goldfish, and even chickens. We’ve had the privilege of sharing laughter, cuddles, and even a few mischievous adventures through our love of animals. Our most recent love was an 18-year-old cat who weathered life’s storms with grace. We nursed her through age-related ailments, celebrated her quirks, and shed tears when she crossed the rainbow bridge.
We’re not just pet sitters; we’re pet enthusiasts. The joy of a wagging tail, the warmth of a furry head on our lap – it’s a privilege we cherish.
When you entrust us with your beloved animals, know that they’ll receive the same love, attention, and care we’d give our own. We’ll follow their routines, honour their quirks, and ensure their tails keep wagging or they keep purring even in your absence.
In short, we love being with animals and would consider it a privilege to be able to care for yours while you are away.

Security-Minded and Responsible:
Your peace of mind is our top priority. As homeowners ourselves, we understand the importance of feeling secure about your property. We treat your home with the same level of care and vigilance that we would expect for our own.

Home Security:
It is our normal habit to ensure that all windows and doors are secure before we retire for the evening. We will also be diligent in adhering to any specific security or home protocols you may have, giving you the confidence that your property is in safe hands.

Emergency Preparedness:
We like to take a proactive approach to housesitting so as we can easily handle any unexpected situations that may arise. We welcome conversations with you regarding contact information for your preferred veterinarian and any health issues we may need to know to loving care for your pets in the same way you would. We also like to be well-prepared to address any unforeseen circumstances that may arise regarding your home so would appreciate you leaving us a list of any local services that you would like us to use or people you would like to contact in case an emergency arises.

Communication is Key:
Keeping you informed is a key aspect of our responsible housesitting approach (and something we consider common courtesy). We'll provide regular updates, so you can have peace of mind knowing that everything is in order. In the event of any concerns or issues, we'll communicate promptly and work together to find solutions.

Respecting Your Space:
Respecting your space is integral to our responsible housesitting philosophy. We will adhere to any house rules you may have, ensuring that your home remains a haven for you to return to.

Flexible and Available:
Our flexible schedule allows us to be available when you need us. Whether you have a coastal retreat, a city residence, or a rural hideaway, we are ready to travel and provide excellent care for your home.
Feel free to contact us to discuss your housesitting needs or simply if you have any further questions. We look forward to being your trusted house sitters and friendly carers of your pets.

Peace of Mind
