Althea & Mathew Zizek

Hello! Kia Ora. My name is Althea. I am a Canadian visiting New Zealand with my partner Mathew - we are both on a working holiday visa. We are kind, reliable, responsible and love animals. We are excited to experience New Zealand through house sitting - learning more about the culture here while making new furry friends!

We have a love of animals and would love to take care of someone's pet while they enjoy some time off/vacation. We are travelers looking to experience a country in a unique way. House sitting provides the opportunity to be immersed in a culture (in a variety of different ways). We are both reliable and responsible travelers, and would take great care of any pet and home.

Mathew has had multiple dogs over the past 25 years - he has cared for them from the puppy stage to the elder dog stage.
Althea has cat sat for multiple friends and families' over the last 20 years.
Most recently, we house and dog sat for a couple in Canada (family friends) who went to Germany for 3 weeks. They had a 10 month old yellow Labrador. We loved spending time with Emma, took her on multiple walks/day. Provided medication to Emma (needed daily). We took care of lawn maintenance at the house as well.
