I am a young professional based in Auckland. I work at NZTE. After a few years living with other people, I decided that it would be a great idea to house sit for a few years, as I want to head overseas in 2023. Given I can be quite flexible with my work lifestyle, I thought it'd be amazing to live in a few different parts of Auckland (and maybe New Zealand!) and experience different parts of the city.
I am an experienced in caring for pets; domestic and farm ( I love giving pets a whole load of love and attention & long walks on the beach ;P). I've travelled extensively and have used AirBnB a lot, so I have lots of experience living in other people's homes.
As a house sitter, I take great care of the houses we are staying in and the pets we look after. I'm easy to communicate with and make sure people are kept in the loop with how their house and their pets are doing.

Angelique was the perfect house/garden/dog sitter. She was very quick to reply to our advert and maintained a very high level of communication during the week we were away. She is clearly an animal lover (our dog took to her straight away) was prompt to communicate, arrived when she said she would, and kept in contact with updates during her stay. Angelique is absolutely awesome - would not hesitate to have her house sit again. She is very smart, responsible and cares about animals. During my time overseas I got updates and photos of my kitty, and she even offered to get me stuff from the supermarket if I needed anything when I returned! She also left the house spotless. I would recommend Angelique to anyone who wants their animal left in good hands. I have a slightly anxious cat who still warmed to Angelique's charms :)

Unfortunately my trip was stalled and then cancelled due to visa issues. Throughout this time Angelique was very understanding of the situation, and super pragmatic in terms of how the situation was handled.
In the end I had to cancel my trip, which was very upsetting for me.

They way in which she deal with the turn of events shows she has a good head on her, she is mature, empathetic, and put me and my pets firsts rather than her needs, these are all wonderful qualities for a housesitter to have.

She happily came and met us prior the house sit and all her communications while we were away (including the photos and videos) were much appreciated. More importantly, Libby and Elsie were totally spoilt with beach walks and.lots of.company. We never once felt anxious about Indie or the house while we were away.

Lilly was sick and needed to see a vet, she contacted our emergency person (friend who is available if I'm not) to organise getting her seen to. Came home to a tidy clean home and happy kitties. I would recommend her to look after your home and animals as a trustworthy house sitter!

Angelique and Craig were incredible house sitters. They took such amazing care of Smokey and were super kind to leave us self isolation banana cake as we returned just after the self-isolation for returning passengers was introduced in March, a week before the country lockdown. they have gone on to become friends who in fact hen looked after our new place in Devonport as a favour in July. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
