Te Puna Tauranga/Western Bay of Plenty

We are heading overseas for a mid-winter holiday in June/July to see family in the UK and looking for house-sitters to look after our pets and home.

We are a busy family of 4, living on a lifestyle block just outside of Tauranga, in the North Island of New Zealand (5 mins from Bethlehem town centre – shopping mall with supermarket, post office etc). We have some amazing walks/treks and beaches locally, and of course the famous Mount Maunganui waiting for you to climb, and enjoy those amazing views from the top.

Our clean, modern, spacious property is situated on hill and has phenomenal views over the Ocean, Western Bay of Plenty and beyond. We have a large flat hard-standing area with power, for those visiting with a motor home/caravan. Our modern home is equipped with a heat pump and wood burner, to keep you toasty in the winter.

We have 2 dogs, (Tara and Louie), a cat (Monty) and two goats (Midnight and Midday) and 2 sheep (no names but feel free to come up with some)! Our two dogs need daily walks and company. (The cat might come along too if you stay local!) Our 11 acres of land provide ample areas to walk the dogs, without having to leave our property. If you prefer to leave the property, we have a list of dog friendly local walks, in parks, bush and of course the beach.

We are looking for a nonsmoking, clean and tidy reliable couple, or family to house-sit. You will need your own transport due our location. If you have previous lifestyle block/farm experience (we are a hilly 11 acres), that’s an advantage. We will also require any potential house-sitters to have genuine references please.
