To whom it may concern
This is to advise that on two occasions I have engaged Lloyd and Vicky to farm/house-sit our small lifestyle property just south-west of Christchurch. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone wanting to find a very competent couple for house-sitting.
Because they are a couple nearing retirement age they are very experienced and capable in carrying out their duties. Lloyd is an excellent handyman in every respect and capable of repairing/fixing almost anything. Having had farming experience he is very competent around livestock or domestic pets and has an astute sense of when something is not right. Because of his excellent work ethic I have subsequently engaged him to help with various tasks including painting, tree clearance and chainsaw work - he is a pleasure to work with. I have also recommended him to others for maintenance work where his capabilities have been much appreciated.
Vicky is also experienced with household pets and is especially efficient, clean and tidy with household duties. My wife is a very fastidious housekeeper and on our return remarked that she wouldn't have even known anyone had been in the house. Everything was exactly as it was when we left, plus there was fresh milk and veggies etc. in the fridge on our return.
They are both very proficient at garden maintenance including any watering and lawn-mowing requirements etc.
Lloyd and Vicky do not smoke or drink and if they invite someone in for a cuppa they will most certainly be of a similar disposition as themselves.

Vicky and Lloyd house sat for us for 3 weeks. They did a perfect job of taking care of house it was immaculate on our return and even left us fresh milk, fruit and veg.. On the stove was a pot of very tasty soup. We have horses , cows , sheep and lots of chickens all were looked after very well. Our cat really loved having them there and was very happy. Our overseas trip was only possible because of Vicki and Lloyd caring for our home and precious pets. We are so grateful that they didn't just stay and keep things ticking, but invested in and loved our dog, cat and chickens, and took such good care of the home as well. Wonderful housesitters! Vicky and Lloyd looked after house in Dovedale and pets (Missy the cat and Jasper, Pipi and Monty the pet sheep) for a week in October 2022. We cannot recommend them more highly - communication before the house sit and during was great. Missy LOVED them both - she had them wrapped around her paws! We found them really interesting, and their total independence...they bring all their needs with them, which is sweet. We would have them back any time, and have caught up with them since while they are up here on another sit.

Vicky & Lloyd where, in our experience wonderful sitters. It was our first time using someone to look after the sheep ( pets), & lifestyle block. Watering & moving of the sheep as well as the gardens were well looked after. It was so easy & stress free to return with everything in order. No rating Vicky and Lloyd looked after our house and 3 dogs for 10 days over the Xmas period. I was very nervous having house sitters as I had been burnt twice before joining Kiwi Housesitters. We had left our house clean but when we returned it was spotless. Our dogs were happy and in good health. No rating I would thoroughly recommend the above house and pet sitters. What a fabulous couple. I cannot praise them highly enough, warm, friendly, reliable and thoroughly charming. Went above and beyond the call of duty with extra care for my dogs and left the house immaculate. Great communication too, will remain friends.
