Kia ora!

I'm Alex and together with my husband, Jack, and our very good boy, Barney the miniature goldendoodle, we are excited to be taking some time away from our busy lives in the UK to fulfil our dream of travelling New Zealand.

I'm a qualified French teacher and Jack is a qualified electrician and runs a successful business- he can turn his hand to almost anything! We both love the outdoors and the 'simple life'- walking, hiking, gardening, growing our own vegetables and eating delicious home-cooked meals.

Our 5-year-old dog, Barney, is our pride and joy, and our plans always include him- he's travelled the length and breadth of the UK, hiked mountains, swam in lakes, joined us canoeing and paddleboarding, and he even travelled to France with us for our wedding! He's a true adventurer, just like us! He's had group walks with other dogs since being a puppy, and loves to run around and play with all of his furry friends.

We are very lucky to be able to take some time out of work to live out our dream, so we will be 'on hand' to provide excellent care to any and all pets, as well as ensuring your property is kept clean and secure. We are non-smokers, very clean and tidy, and Barney is perfectly house-trained. He is also hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. Jack has had experience keeping chickens, and we've both grown up in pet-loving homes (dogs, cats and rabbits- to name a few!)
