We have been house sitting fulltime all around NZ since July 2022 over that time we have looked after so many amazing pets and homes as well as meeting so many incredible people.
We are a clean and tidy family who are very respectful of people's home, property and privacy and we are reliable and trustworthy. We commit to house sits and never change our mind! We have amazing reviews for you to check out and we are always getting asked back to house sit again for previous house sits.
Arabella and Sienna are not rough and tumble, are respectful of people's property and they always eat and drink at the table or outside. We are not party people; we love our quiet time at home with the girls. We are also non-smokers (which means we also want to stay in a smoke free home) and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. We lived rural for a long time, so we understand septic tanks and tank water.
The girls do home education and Lath and I are both self-employed which means we do require high speed, reliable and unlimited internet to work from our laptops (this is very important!). Our days are a mixture of working, hiking, eating at good cafes and chilling at home! We absolutely love going out to explore, however we're never out all day every day.
We love animals! In 2022 we said goodbye to our beautiful and loyal 16yo border collie Phoenix. He was our life so we really understand what it means to look after and love an animal and we will do the same with yours. He was blind, deaf, had dementia, arthritic, was incontinent at the end of his life and on medication, so we have experience and patience with old dogs needing extra love. Over our lifetime we have had chickens, budgies, guinea pigs, fish & dogs. And since house sitting, we have taken care of horses, goats, ducks, chickens, sheep, llamas, cats and many breeds of dogs (rottweiler, husky, border collie, labrador, springer spaniel, cavoodle, papillion, spoodle and many mixed breeds).
We would take care of your pets as though they were our own with feeding, PLENTY of cuddles and exercise (if necessary) and taking them out in the car on adventures. We have looked after all kinds of animals... dogs (so many different breeds!) cats, horses, goats, sheep and chickens. The girls are very gentle with animals and know how to treat them right and will become best friends with them in no time!
We keep in touch with homeowners via Whatsapp or email and can send you pics/videos of your fur babies as often as you'd like us to.
House sitting experience:
House sit #1 - We looked after a large rural property that had 6 houses with air bnb accommodation. The property itself didn't need maintaining so any garden work etc was minimal. There were 6 alpacas on the property and they looked after themselves so we just checked on them to make sure they were ok. We greeted any guests checking in to the accommodation and also cleaned the houses once they checked out and we helped out if the guests had any issues.
House sit #2 - We looked after two gorgeous dogs - a cavoodle and a papillion. Fed them twice a day and walked them every day We took care of the lawns as well as watering indoor plants, feeding 2 goldfish and cleaning their tank when required.
House sit #3 - We looked after a strong and playful 1 year old large breed dog, feeding her twice a day and exercising her daily. We took care of the lawns with a ride on mower. Fed chickens 3 x a week cleaned out their coop once a week.
House sit #4 - Looked after 3 horses who had a special diet and hay each day. Mucked out their paddocks. Looked after 1 rottweiler, 2 cats, chickens, kept an eye on sheep and geese)
House sit #5 - We looked after a springer spaniel and a beautiful fluffy cat. Walked the dog daily, watered indoor plants, mowed the lawns once a week, set up the sprinklers on the lawn for the grass (hot, dry summer!).
House sit #6 - We looked after a gorgeous spoodle. He came on as many adventures with us as he could and we really enjoyed snuggling up on the couch with him. No yard work but we watered the indoor plants.
House sit #7 - We looked after 2 cats (feeding and snuggles!) and 2 chickens (feeding and collecting eggs).
House sit #8 - We looked after 3 gorgeous cats, feeding, snuggling and making sure they were in their own little areas in the house.
House sit #9 - We looked after a small dog - feeding, walking and giving plenty of snuggles!
House sit #10 - Looking after 1 dog, 3 goats, 25 chickens & 6 deer. Watering indoor plants and watering tunnel house.
House sit #11 - Looking after 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 horse. Watering indoor plants.
House sit #12 - Looking after 2 gorgeous cats and watering plants.
House sit #13 - Looking after 1 dog, 1 cat and 4 chickens. Watering the gardens and the plants indoors.
House sit #14 - 2nd time house sitting for this family. Looking after their dog, cat and chickens. Watering indoor plants and the lawn.

Apart any times that we want to engage this gorgeous family, you should snap them up for your own home. We simply cannot speak highly enough of them. They cared for our pets so we'll that they have gone into mourning now that they have gone. Our house was spotless and , bless them, they prepared a meal for our return. They are absolutely great, so good I can't find enough words. We were away 8 weeks, which is a long time to leave your home and they made that time worry free.
