Andrew and Debbie

59, Group Services Coordinator

59, Field Manager Telecommunications

We are an easy going, honest, mature, down to earth, responsible, non-smoking couple who have been married for almost 40 years. We owned our own home for over 35 years and had several cats and dogs during this time, so we are well aware of the dynamics associated with running a home and looking after pets. We emigrated from South Africa 20 years ago and spent almost 10 years in England before emigrating to New Zealand and becoming New Zealand citizens. We have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren who are based in England, Sweden and New Zealand so we travel as often as we can.

We grew up with cats and dogs as pets. When we had our own family, we had several dogs and cats too. One of our favourites were Labradors as they were very good with the children. Zimba was our favourite childhood dog. We also had 2 border collies Rex and Lady who needed to go on walks as they love running. We had a Rottweiler/German Shepherd Nuisance, named after the famous navy Dog in South Africa, Just Nuisance.

When we arrived in New Zealand, over the years we house sat for many of our friends who were going on holiday. Some had dogs, cats and chickens. We also spent almost 3 months in England looking after a house and a cat for friends who were in Belize.

We are clean, neat and tidy and treat other's homes as if they were our own. You will be able to rest, knowing you have someone trustworthy in your home and that your pets will be well looked after.

Profile:
Andrew has spent the last 39 years in the telecommunications Industry. His last role was a Field Manager for UCG and has also worked for other telecommunications companies like Ventia and Broad Spectrum. He has excellent problem-solving skills and is also good at maintenance and electrical issues and multitasking. He is currently taking a break so is on hand to assist with gardening and pet sitting.

Debra is also a great multi-tasker. She had several responsible roles during her career as an Events Coordinator/PA. She has proved herself trustworthy, having worked for a High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) in the UK for several years and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). She has been working for a top Auckland Neurologist at the University of Auckland for the last 5 years and the majority of her work is from home.

I would not hesitate to recommend Andrew and Debbie as house/pet sitters. They cared for our cat Sonnie (who is a little temperamental) wonderfully - he was very content when we came home to a spotless house and a lovely South African dessert . Communication was 5 star . Thank you again.

Thanks Annie, it was our pleasure. Hope you are both rested and enjoyed your break.
Debbie and Andrew came to our rescue at the very last minute. what a fantastic couple to have stay in our home and relieve us of all the anxiety that can build up prior to a big trip overseas. Thank you both so much and you come so highly recommended.
