Hello there !
I'm an active, sociable, positive, senior woman who loves animals.

I've grown up with a variety of animals including cats, dogs, ducks, sheep, a milking goat and its 2 kids guinea pigs, budgies, canaries and chooks, but I prefer cats or small well behaved dogs to look after and seem to be able to tune into them easily, even having 'conversations' with them - the living ones, not the dead ones - lol

I've been housesitting now around the Nelson area since September 2022. I'm really enjoying the lifestyle so have decided to keep doing it and not to go back to my flood damaged flat. (now repaired)

I'm a non-smoker and very healthy eater. So there's no chance of burning anything down as most of my food is uncooked, raw. I will leave your home as I found it, plus there could be a surprise or two as well - food or flowers - I love to cook (ex-chef and restauranteur).

I'm a thoughtful and caring person and as I grew up here I'm lucky enough to have some long time friends in the region. I'm also quite well known in Nelson because of my community efforts. One of these is my involvement in the community gardens and have been there for 10 years - loving every minute I spend in the lovely space. I have my own gardens there including vegs and flowers and enjoy organising different fundraising events from time to time.

Your pets and home will be safe and well looked after if you choose me to take care of everything while you're away.

I'm available for periods from 1 week to 6 mths. I'm happy looking after your cat and I prefer dogs if they are small to medium size; well behaved and trained. Love to get out with them on walks either to the sea or around the neighbourhood. I don't mind if they want to sleep on the bed with me as long as they stay still - haha.
