We are a Dutch couple, married for 32 years, travelling in our motorhome (7,5m) around New Zealand. We are NZ permanent residents, as we have worked and lived in New Zealand before (20+ years ago) and this time we are back for good.
Ben has worked for the Dutch government as an immigration officer and Cindy worked as supervisor for the sales department of a company that produces chocolate spreads.
We love animals, together we were owned by 5 cats and we both had dogs when growing up. We have a lot of experience giving medication to our cats, as you do owning older pets. One of our cats had cerebellar hypoplasia, so we have experience dealing with special needs pets. Cindy also volunteered with the Tauranga SPCA during our first time living in NZ.
House sitting gives us the perfect opportunity to be around animals and caring for them, while at the same time it give us a break from our travels. We both are retired so we can spend the whole day with your pets.

Ben & Cindy are the most amazing house sitters we have had. They looked after our Angie with so much care and she did not want them to leave. The house was cleaner than when I left and it was a pleasure to come home to. They also looked after our cows and helped keeping them happy. Wonderful communication and photos of Angie regularly. Ben & Cindy took incredible care of our house, 2 dogs and cat. The booking and communication pre house sit was stress free. The handover went perfectly with Ben & Cindy ensured they had all the information they needed. We received regular updates and pictures while we were away. We returned to a spotlessly clean house, cleaner than when we left! Our pets were extremely well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ben & Cindy for a house sit.

We could not have been happier with Ben and Cindy as our house sitters :). Digby was treated with great care and treasured. We received regular updates and photos showing us how he was doing, and this was greatly appreciated. The house was spick and span which was wonderful too. Would love to use Ben and Cindy as our regular sitters, but they are too popular!!! See you in 12 months, guys, hopefully!! :) :)

We can’t speak highly enough of Ben & Cindy who looked after our home, and more importantly our 2 high maintenance border collies (10mths & 7 years), parrot and hens for 3 weeks. We had never left our menagerie so it was a big move to have housesitters. They took amazing care of our girls, walking them twice a day, playing games and maintaining their routine. Wow! Ben & Cindy were amazing! They left our house impeccably clean, but most importantly our 'scaredy cat' dog, Luka clearly loved them! Trips to the beach and other walking adventures made the most of the abysmal weather. Their intent was to do the lawns for us, but the weather was not conducive to gardening hence no rating although vege garden and house plants were well looked after. Ben and Cindy answered our advert and were very easy to communicate with from the start. They were willing to come visit us a few weeks prior. Ziggy and Lola had taken to them immediately and we knew we made they right choice. While we were away they sent us messages and photos. Ben and Cindy were amazing. We came home to a clean and tidy house with relaxed cats. We were confident they would be perfect through meeting them first and how organised they were. Would highly recommend these two, Considering we have a particularly timid cat who interacted with them on the 2nd day, alongside a mischievous energetic cat who also enjoyed their company, it made our holiday that much more enjoyable. Hope we can use them again in the future.

We were very happy with Ben and Cindy’s care of the house and animals. They were excellent communicators from the beginning. We received regular updates and photos/video of our dog, who was obviously very happy and well entertained and exercised. The house was spotless.
