53, Policewoman (retired)
Hi there :-)
I am a retired police woman from Germany and am excited about the possibility of house sitting in New Zealand . I have already spent 4 years in New Zealand and have fallen in love with this beautiful country. I have a New Zealand drivers licence and I have my own car to use while I am in New Zealand. I am trustworthy and reliable (I have a police check) and will treat your home with respect. I am a tidy person and a non smoker. I love all animals and would be more than happy to do daily dog walking.
Why I want to house sit...
I am tired of living in overpriced apartments and cold hotels rooms. I want to live like a local, eat like a local and experience local areas not the touristy and artifical.
When I heard about house sitting, I thought....that's it! Living in a real home, not an apartment with no soul where no one really lives and that is just decorated for tourists to visit, plus having the opportunity to take care of some one else's pets like having your own pets just sounds perfect to me.
I used to have a dog and a cat and when friends of mine go on holidays I often take care of their animals. So I know how important it is for house and pet owners to know that their beloved ones and their home is safe while beeing away!
No one wants to worry about what happens at home while they are gone. Taking your pets to a cattery on kennels is way too stressful for them and not really an option.
That's why I believe house sitting is the best solution for all of us: I can live like a local and have my own pets to play with and cuddle and you can be sure that your pets and home are safe and don't need to worry while you are gone.
If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask. I really look forward to hearing from you.
Conny
