Worked on farms in my 30's and 40's ,mainly dairy but did some animal care study too. Been volunteering with horses and dogs recently. TB tested and blood sampled cattle. House sat for friends years ago who owned lifestyle blocks.

Sarah: 59, textile art and craft

Hi, I'm in my late 50's and looking to house sit as I miss the country environment.
I love animals and am a keen textile art and craft bod. I have exhibited pieces in the past but just happy to sell my items at present.
I have lived and worked in the country previously but been in town since 2018.
I have been volunteering at RDA's for the last couple of years , done 6months volunteering at the SPCA's canine unit and been taking riding lessons since May '23.I have learnt a lot about horses and dogs from these situations and just want to learn more and enjoy their company.
I would bring some art and craft projects with me and books as I am a reader rather than a TV watcher.
I have had a number of police checks done over the last few years because some of the situations I have volunteered in have required it.
In the early 2000's I house sat for friends all of whom owned lifestyle blocks so I know how important is to know that your animals are cared for and you return to a well looked after property.
