After 3 years together traveling the world, Maty and I have decided to stay in New Zealand and start creating a home here.
I am a Physiotherapist, currently on a registration process to be able to work legally in New Zealand. And, currently, working as a massage therapist in the town of Nelson.
My partner, Maty, has dedicated many years into his chef career but over the last couple of year he needed a change. So he started to get training towards carprentry and other trades to learn some new skills. At the moment he is working as gardener / landscaper.
We are both hard workers but we like to spend time off in nature. Hiking has been our passion over the last years traveling the world. We both enjoy working out and getting fit for the next adventures to come.
We are both absolutely in love with any kind of animal. We have a favoritism towards dogs, but we have had the pleasure to live with goats, cows and cats and have enjoyed taking care of them. We believe respect and communication are the most important tools towards a healthy relationship.
Housesitting and petsitting for us is a wonderfull opportunity to rest, get the feeling of being at home and taking care of a place, a pet, a garden...while helping someone as well.
Laura cared for my cat and tiny home for 10 days. She's been easy to communicate with, left the house just as she found it and little Luna is healthy and happy. My place comes with a few quirks, being off grid, and Laura had no trouble attending to the little differences to a standard home. I appreciate her care and attention and will very happily ask her (and Maty if he's available next time) back for my next trip away.
Laura and Maty were an absolute delight to work with! They were kind, caring, and had a genuine love for dogs. Our pups took to them immediately and were well-cared for during our time away. Not only did they provide excellent care for our furry friends, but they also kept our house spotless and tended to our plants, which was an added bonus. Laura and Maty were great. Their communication was awesome and they took great care of Toast our cat whilst we were away. The house was spotless when we got home and Laura had also dried and folded some washing for us from when we left. Would have them back again!
Laura & Maty were delightful sitters. They looked after our dog with loving care. Our house was very clean & tidy on our return. Communication was excellent and we would happily ask Laura & Maty to pet sit again.
Laura and Maty were incredible housesitters. They sent us almost daily photos of our cat Pebbles whilst we were away. They left our home cleaner and tidier than we probably left it for them. When we need a house sitter next, they will be our first choice. Couldn't reccommemd them enoiugh.
