Hi,
My name is Jacqui and I'm 55. I recently finished my job, bought a van and plan on slowly seeing our fabulous country.
I am quite, very practical, love animals and enjoy gardening.
I grow up on a small farm in Tasman area with the usual cats, dogs chickens, sheep and horses. I have had all kinds of pets myself but at the moment I just hang out with Pippa the farm dog.
I lived on Kapiti Island for 5 years and was involved with the care of very rare native species including short-tailed bats and takahe. For 10 years I was involved with caring for native skinks as part of a capture breeding program.
I have always had chickens, cats and dogs. As will as geckos, rabbits and aviary birds (finches and canaries etc).
I am sensible and caring and will happily follow all of your animal, house and garden instructions.
I'm a non smoker.
As I am new to this site I don't have many references but I have permission to provide the contract details of people that I have house sat for, as well as those who I cared for their pets.
Jacquie did a wonderful house sit looking after all the animals. Great communication supported by photos. Went above and beyond to sort out any issues that occurred. Thoroughly recommend.
jacqui was great with our 3 dogs even with the blind one, a very clean and caring sitter, would use her again.

I would recommend Jacqui 100%.She is a very broad range of skills which was perfect for sitting our lifestyle block. She mowed our lawns and gardens of her own initiative. She's a hard worker easy to communicate. Left the house clean and tidy. We will definitely ask her to sitcagain
Jacqui (and Pippa 🐶) did a great job of looking after the house and Clover (the dog)… I suspect Clover is rather missing them as she’s approached a camper van already to see if she can get in 😁
We met up on a beach before I left so that the dogs could get to know each other on neutral ground, and all went well. Great comms before the sit, and a couple of updates while I was away which was just the right amount.
I’’d very happily have Jacqui here again - didn’t seem fazed by anything!
Thanks to Jacqui we were able to disappear for a wee break of 8 days. Jacqui kept us informed of the antics of our girls. She came into our home, and you wouldn't known she had been there. Pleasant, polite and very easy to work with. We had to shorten our break away but that didnt phase Jacqui. Totally recommend her. Thank you Jacqui.
This was my first time using a house/pet sitter so I was a bit nervous about it all, but I am so glad that I chose Jacqui.
She provided good communication from the start, was happy to meet with me before the sit, and even spent some time walking my dog with hers beforehand so they could all get to know each other.
Throughout the sit she continued to provide updates and photos. She took my dog to the vet when he needed to go, and we were very grateful when our flight came in late and Jacqui ... MORE
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
