In January 2025, my 15-year-old daughter will be attending the Auckland String Quartet Summer School, I work for myself, and just need a laptop and wifi connection so will bring her to Auckland and am looking for a housesitting opportunity while I’m there. She’ll join me for any dates before and after her summer school, which is 4-11 January. At home, we have a dog called Sadie, and a frail cat called Miguel (my other daughter and husband will be looking after them); we’ve always had animals so are used to looking after them and will really enjoy spending time with another dog or cat, or both. I will be working so will be home a lot of the time to keep anyone company. We can be available anywhere from 26 December to around 16 January. We used to live in Auckland so will look forward to spending time there again. In my 20s, a long time ago, I was a full-time house sitter for a year, and we have used house sitters ourselves over the years. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your house sitter and to trust them with your fur babies. As a mum, a self-employed editor, and a fur-parent myself, I can assure you your home and animals will be well looked after.
