We would be honored to be considered to take great care of your house and pets while you are away!
We are a local Christchurch family.
We have been house and pet sitting for a full year now since December 2022 and loving it!
So we are well experienced 🙂
We have cared for many different pets ranging from young ones to older ones requiring medication and extra TLC.
We are a Christian homeschooling family to our 10 year old son Joshua.
Homeschooling for us means a lot of things, but in terms of house sitting it gives us the flexibility to move around as we need to and also means we are home more during the day than most would be.
We have high expectations of behavior in our home and Joshua is careful and respectful with others belongings.
Joshua loves spending time with all the animals!
He is amazing with them and it has been very heart warming to watch!
He gives them lots of attention and cuddles.
But he also knows when to give them space.
David and I love cats and dogs too and have spent the previous year getting to know many different breeds which has been awesome! 😃
David has a full time job with the Christchurch City Council.
Previously to being a stay at home mum I was a trained Early childhood teacher and moved over here from South Africa when I was 18.
As a trained early childcare teacher I believe in using positive reinforcement for guidance and behaviour management not only with children but pets as well.
We are responsible, caring, non drinkers, non smokers and non party people.
So your home will be respected and safe!

We are fully committed to this journey of house sitting.
We do it full time, meaning we don't currently stay in our own home.
🚨🚨Therefore you have the security of knowing that once the sit has been confirmed we will not be cancelling on you sending you into a last minute frenzy! 🚨🚨

Pearl, David and Joshua looked after our home and animals (2 dogs, 3 bunnies, 1 cat) for 25 days. The communication before and during our trip was great and made us feel reassured and confident that everything and everyone was in good hands. We really appreciated the thorough run through before we left too.

Pearl, David and Joshua house sat for us for a month in August, they looked after our house, chickens, two dogs and a house cat. The house was lovely and clean on our return and all the pets were well fed and taken care of. Pearl, David and their son Joshua spend a month in our house leaving it in immaculate condition with starter meals in the fridge for us to come home too.
Communication from them was excellent and the aging horse was treated to carrots and apples.

Peral and family were wonderful house sitters. We met a few times before the sit for the animals to get to know them. Their communication was excellent, keeping us informed of things that we needed to know and just general updates on how the animals were going. All aspects of Pearl and her family's care for our place while we were away were fine. We are especially grateful for her care of our cat, which involved visits to the Vet!!
We were fortunate to be contacted by Pearl, David and Joshua to be our housesitters. We met with them all prior to the sit, and with Pearl the night before we were due to leave. We were impressed with how Joshua was very careful in the way he approached our dogs and cat, and it wasn't long before they were keen to be his friend!
