Joy

(Joined 16/01/2025) Hi there, I have always had pets but after losing my last dog to old age mid December, 2024, I decided that rather can get any more pets at my age, I would house/pet sit for others. I do not require any payment.
I am retired, 72, non smoker, non drinker and I love animals. My own cats/dogs have always been inside pets and I am a strong believer in pets are for life - a life time commitment. Because my last 7 have been rescues/rehomes, I have never left them with anyone and committed to giving them their best life in their remaining years. I understand how precious your pets are and that trusting them to the care of others, is a huge leap of faith. I am used to giving medications and maintaining special diets.
I do have arthritis so I can only do short walks with dogs if needed.
I live in CHCH where I own my own home. I am happy to travel anywhere in the SI. I have my own vehicle.
I am familiar with cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, I have lived in Invercargill, North Canterbury and Greenpark. I am quiet and usually home all day and night.
