TAKE A BREAK YOU DESERVE IT

Wanting to see the children or grandchildren/parents or do you just need to spend some quality time away.
Well, now you can and be stress- free knowing your farm or house is in capable hands.
Do you have a herd of cows, a flock of sheep or calves that need a daily feeding.
Maybe your animal needs regular medication.
As a trusty and responsible, caring and warm hearted yet fearsome and courageous person I will care for your house, pets, plants and garden while you're away on holiday.
Relax and know your place is in good hands.
There's always an unexpected surprise or unplanned change of events. Don't worry. You can feel assured that your animals and homestead will be well taken care of. It's my favorite thing to spend time with animals.
Your dog/s will be walked, brushed talked to and loved, your cat can happily boss me around and your horses cows and sheep will probably sit and listen to some music with me.
I am a capable farm manager with milking, calf rearing, and shepherd abilities.
Keep an eye your horses. Ive fed out 20 polo horses, made up a drawing and healing poultice boot for an absess. Thrown balage and hay, reared lambs and calves. Spring is my favourite time sometimes help is needed birthing with calves or sheep.. I love to muster sheep on a 2 wheeler.
I keep a watchful on and lock away those new born chicks with their mum from the hawk and rat predators. Always a surprise of hatched eggs on some farms.
Administer medicinal doses. Drench and worm your animals.
Break feed..
Harrow the paddocks and plant seeds.
Reassure animals on those cold windy thundery nights that they're not alone.
If you just have cats Ill just relax with a book a movie or my present course im studying or teaching and chill.
I use initiative, intuition, and common sense in any grey areas when there is no contact or keep a zoom/what's app line open so mums and dad's can talk to there babies.
You can trust me lighting a fire even without fire starters.
I'm security for your home, collect your mail, water your plants, care and feed your animals.
I'm worth it so you can have a peaceful holiday away and know your precious home and animals are safe and in good hands.

I will look after your place as if it were my own.
I enjoy gardening and caring for plants, I also like the wild organic look, finding medicine in unsprayed herbs to use as infusions.
I can keep the swimming and spa pool clean and bug free or just test it out over the Winter periods in between movies.
I love beach and bush walks and especially cuddles with even the smallest day old chicken to the big loveable cow. They all need love and freely return it. I find it so rewarding.
I Love to explore new areas of NZ. Go for bush walks and photograph a deer or possum.
I like to ride my farm bike along the beach and catch some waves on my board. I find some dogs like to join me kayaking or on my stand up board
and sometimes its nice to just chill out and relax with a book or movie a nice walk around the back section.
I have been farming and house sitting for many years now and can extend my service and knowledge to you by taking care of the running and daily routine of your place.

Great to have some one so practical, with good farm sense. Stepping in Feeding calves, still on milk twice daily ,keeping an eye on the horses, and the cats, a dog with out even being shown around was very impressive . My heading dog is still looking for her. So great to be able to go away with piece of mind. Highly recommend. I have booked her again already. The house was clean to.😀

SARA (Hunua North Island, Jun 2023 - 1 week)
We chose Kay for our house sit because she said she had farming experience and we had some pet farm animals in our garden. The farm that we live on wasn’t to be required any work but we ended up having some lambs to bottle feed before our trip to the UK and Kay said she was happy to do it so we didn’t have to move them to another farm. Our main priority for care were our dogs, especially one who had bad legs and wasn’t to be walked much. We did however get messages on our trip that he was sore ... MORE

If only the dogs knew how to wipe their feet. I'm sorry your trip home to Ireland wasn't happy. I thought you'd be celebrating your engagement. I'm sorry I messaged you on your holiday but just wanted to see if there was any medication for Thor and if you had another hot fence for the goats. I'm an ... MORE
Cats, goats and cows were well looked after while we were away. House kept nice and tidy with sheets cleaned and bed made at end of her sit. Good communication but sometimes specific needs and information could be conveyed better especially when leaving before our return. Would certainly welcome her to sit again

ANNETTE AND MIKE (Waiuku North Island, Jun 2023 - 10 days)
We returned home to a clean house, very happy well entertained cats and a live garden. Kay is our 6th house sitter from this site and I can say she has definitely been our best - highly recommend her care and attention to the cats and respect for our home. Thank you Kay!

LIS (Pohara South Island, Apr 2023 - 8 days)
Kay did a great job of taking care of our large dog, cat, chickens, 2 sheep and our home while we went on holiday. She is a good communicator and sent updates and photos of our happy pets regularly. We would have no hesitation to have Kay house sit for us in the future.

ZANA & BRIAN (Hunua North Island, Jul 2022 - 2 weeks)
Kay is a lovely lady, very trustworthy and definitely loves animals, I would highly recommend her. She was the first house/pet sitter we had ever had for our 4 cats and 2 dogs & I was very nervous leaving them with anyone! Kay made me feel comfortable and at ease seeing her interact with our fur babies and she sent daily updates which i really appreciated:) Our home was clean & tidy when we arrived back and the animals well fed & happy. I would definitely love to have her back anytime to look ... MORE

Haven't been on a holiday for over 10 years - but we were able to go on one this year thanks to Kay staying in the house and looking after the animals and garden. Dogs very happy to see us - but they were also very happy to have Kay look after them. Thanks very much Kay for being here and looking after everything for us - much appreciated.

JACKIE (Oropi North Island, Feb 2019 - 6 days)
Kay did a fab job minding our menagerie! She was confident with our farm animals and dogs, not many people have the confidence to handle our naughty goat, but Kay did great! House was clean and tidy when we got home and animals were all happy and well-fed. I would thoroughly recommend her to mind your farm. Thx Kay!

DIANNE (Whakamarama North Island, Jan 2019 - 3 days)
Could not fault Kay! Lovely lady. My dogs loved her and she even dealt with their personalities and my worries about them really well. Obviously experienced with animals. She is my go-to local housesitter now. Thoroughly recommend her.

EMMA (Matua North Island, Jan 2019 - 6 days)

KATRINA (Waiuku North Island, Dec 2018 - 5 days)
Kay left things as she found them and did some gardening even though this wasn't required. the watered the plants well. She took excellent care of the animals and they loved her. She had a calf born on her watch and sent me photos and updates daily or more frequently. Kay is knowledgeable about animals in general and has experience on farms which was helpful. She knows about plants as well and loved this organic lifestyle, she has returned for a couple of weekends which has been helpful. She is ... MORE
