Kia ora, I live on the outskirts of Nelson and have house, pet, and plant sat for many years. My background has been in midwifery, zero waste event management, and education. I'm sadly not able to have pets where I live, so house sitting gives me the opportunity to spend time with animal buddies, as well as a change of scene as I am largely home based. I live a quiet life, am super conscientious, healthy living and tidy, and absolutely adore pet friends. I'm unfortunately not able to care for high energy doggos, but all other fur babies are very welcome. I look forward to hearing from you 😊

"Kahu looked after our home over winter 2024, and cared for our two indoor cats, Yuki and Momo, while we were on an extended trip to Germany. She did a fantastic job keeping everything in perfect order and ensuring our cats were happy and well cared for.

Kahu’s reliability, kindness, and attention to detail gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We returned to a spotless home and two contented cats, which speaks volumes about her commitment and capability.

If we could give 11 out of 10, we would give it for Kahu. She came at the last minute after another sitter became unavailable, which was tremendously helpful as we were overseas at the time. Arriving home was such a pleasure as the house was spotless and the chickens were content. She went above and beyond by mowing the lawn. Communications were excellent as with the previous sit she did for us. All in all, we would highly recommend Kahu to house sit. Thank you Kahu!

Kahu looked after our home & chickens for three weeks. She went above & beyond to get some information to us while we were away & when we got home the house was lovely & tidy, the chooks happy, an all round great experience. We would highly recommend Kahu as a sitter, thanks a lot!

Kahu was a wonderful house and cat sitter. She kept in touch while we were away overseas, which was reassuring. Everything was spotless on our return and the garden was in good shape. I think Orlando enjoyed her company so much that he didn’t miss us at all!
