Kate & Niklas

Hi! For the past year we have been sailing from the UK to French Polynesia on a world travel dream of ours. We then hopped in a flight to Australia and had the best time travelling up the East Coast then down to Melbourne doing various dog/cat/farm sitting job! Next up is New Zealand (our final and most looked forward to destination)!
An absolute adoration of animals has bonded us from the beginning (we met in 2018, married 2022). From 4 to 18 yrs, Kate grew up with a lively Springer Spaniel (plus sheep, chickens and goats) in the UK and Niklas a sausage dog in Finland. In adulthood Niklas then raised an energetic black lab from puppy age. Before leaving to set sail we lived in the Highlands of Scotland and often provided free doggy daycare (and some overnight stays) for our friends black and brown labs who we miss very much! Kate also has lots of experience with “BorrowMyDoggy” providing free dog walks & care in Glasgow. We love all animals and often meeting those of friends or strangers (or ones living on beaches over the last year) is a highlight of our week. We are looking for the opportunity to settle for short or longer periods of time in different areas of NZ so we can experience new places “like a local” with the benefit of a furry new companion. Also - we ran a successful bed and breakfast together in Scotland and therefore know how to take care of your home to a top standard! Over the past year we have chartered our boat and therefore have been on excellent hosting duty and maintanence of our floating home.
