We are a retired couple visiting New Zealand from Canada on a regular basis. Our youngest daughter and her family live in Masterton and we're keen to spend the cold Canadian winters in the warm kiwi sun.
House sitting is a wonderful way for us to see more of this beautiful country while also remaining close to our grandchildren. Ideally, we'd prefer to stay within a 30 minute drive of Masterton and would especially appreciate house sits close to the beach.
A bit more about us:
We're a retired teacher and contract administrator from Montreal. Phil has plenty of experience with animals large and small, and we both love pets. We're avid beach-goers and readers, and we love spending time with our grandchildren. We keep a very tidy house in the West Island of Montreal, where we love to entertain our friends and family.

Maria and Phil did a fantastic job of looking after our two elderly Birman cats. They left our house spotlessly clean and tidy. They are a lovely, sensible couple who communicated well with us. We thoroughly recommend them as sitters.
Maria and Phil are the perfect house sitters. They kept in close communication with me during their sit, and were very pleasant to deal with. Phil is a great handyman and fixed a number of items that needed repair. Maria knitted us some socks! We would love to have them sit for us again in the future and heartily recommend them.
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
