Kia ora! We are a couple based in Wellington who love animals. We would love to have our own pets one day, but for now while we are renting and figuring out where we want to settle down, we are hoping to help take care of other peoples pets!

A bit about Mel - I grew up overseas in Asia, but am originally from Te Whanganui-a-Tara. I love to read, bake, and play sports such as volleyball, surfing and skiing in winter! I absolutely adore pets and am always a shoe-in as a pet-sitter for friends when they go away! I am able to work from home and keep your pets company!

A bit about Dan - I grew up in New Zealand on the west coast in New Plymouth and moved to Wellington about a year and a half ago. I enjoy playing sports, soccer and tennis, and running for exercise. In the winter months I love being up the mountain snowboarding. I work as a pastry chef and enjoy baking at home also. I grew up around lots of cats and a couple of dogs so I have good experience with pets!

Good golly. We are SOOO lucky to have found the absolutely fantastic Mel and Dan and could not rate them more highly. What a perfect fit for our crazy little pack - both Mel and Dan were absolutely fantastic from first communication, right through our time away. Great with sending loads of updates and photos, and went above and beyond, even our house was just as we left it - immaculate! Most importantly we got home to three happy, well loved huskies! Mel and Dan were fab house sitters. Great communication and pet photos. The fur babies were happy and healthy on our return. The house was lovely and tidy and they were very patient with our oven breakdown. Very kind and thoughtful people.

Mel and Dan were absolutely ideal house sitters. They are a mature young couple who are grounded and who took the job seriously. Most importantly, our 13 year old pup was so well taken care of and loved. We came home to an apartment that was just as clean as we left it - they even left us baked goods as a treat! Not only would we hire Mel and Dan again, we already have!
