Hello!

My name is Emma and I'm 53 years old, originally from the UK but New Zealand has been home for 20 + years now. I have lived all over the country but for the most part in Nelson where I brought up my 3 adult children who have now grown up way too fast and are off living their lives overseas. I have been based on the Tutukaka coast for the last few years enjoying the beautiful coastal lifestyle.

I grew up with dogs and horses, and all my adult life have had dogs and cats that have been a very integral part of our lives.
For the last 20 years I’ve had 2 rescue springer spaniels who became my co pilots in life and were by my side 24/7 until i just recently lost the last one to old age 😢.. so I’m particularly fond of older dogs and aware of the extra care and love they need.
I have extensive experience in rural and off grid living, with chooks, ducks, the odd house cow, and I'm very confident with horses. I am a super keen gardener, always choosing to live off the land where ever possible and would love to care for any food garden or forest you may have!

I have been a massage therapist for 25 years, and am presently reinventing my career as a health coach and writer so as to be more location independent. This means that I work from home and chose my own hours, so I can keep any animals you may have company and give them heaps of love and attention. Did I mention that I love long walks?! I love nothing more than a long walk each day with a dog or 2, and also have lots of experience with the ageing dog, so I know the special needs and slow pace that they require as well.
From being a home and pet owner for many years I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet(s) will be in good hands while you are away, and that your house will be respected and well looked after, so I look forward to talking more with you if you feel you may like to consider me as your house sitter.

Emma has minded my house, my cat and my dog on many occasions. The longest was for a period of 10 weeks while I was out of the country. Emma looked after everything in the way that was asked of her and was fantastic with my ageing cat and dog. As well as looking after the animals and house, Emma also looked after my garden and house plants, collected my mail and let me know if anything came for me which looked like it needed attention before I returned home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma for house sitting and pet minding.
