I love doggies...especially wee to medium sized ones.
Currently based in North Otago to be closer to family after being in Nelson for several years, I'm looking to house and pet sit in the South Island from North Canterbury through to Central Otago areas for my 'gap year' while I decide where I may like to settle more permanently.
Last year I lost my best mate at 15 years, Teddy, a little Jack Russell shortie and I miss him terribly but don't wish to have a new wee 'mate' in my life just yet, however I understand the angst for pet owners needing to go away and desperately wishing to have someone kind and reliable to look after their furbabies, especially (but not limited to) ones that may be getting on a bit in the years so need that security and company.
While Teddy was alive, he and I did petsitting for friends who needed to know their dogs were safe at home whilst away.
I'm happy to sit for 1 or 2 dogs, definitely small to medium, not big dogs as I don't have experience with them.
I've also lived on a farm so comfortable with horses and chooks, if there's a cat in the mix talk to me about it, I have a cat fur allergy so a wee bit limited there.
Clean police record, kind, mature and reliable, don't smoke/vape, respectful of other folks belongings, if I needed a pet sitter I would love to have someone like me!!
Home must have reliable wifi access for home computer work and I'd like to have some photos of home and dogs so I know what to expect from your side please.
