Hi

We've been married for 8 years and currently live in Palmerston North. I'm originally from just outside New Plymouth in Egmont Village and my wife is originally from South Dakota, USA. We have one 3 year old daughter and <1 year old son. We're in our 30s, healthy, non-smoking and have no allergies.

We are both professionals. I'm a research scientist for Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research, a Crown Research Institute, primarily specializing as a Geomorphologist (can provide a link to my page). I've been working full time there for about 8 years after previously completing my studies at Massey University. My wife works at Massey University as a administrator in the college of science.

Most of my family are in New Plymouth, so we make quite a few trips there and either stay with family or friends but like to get a house to housesit when available. We are somewhat flexible on dates.

In terms of animal/pet experience. We both grew up with pets. I grew up around a lot of animals and pets on a 7-acre lifestyle block in Egmont Village where my mum still lives. So had a lot of experience with dogs, cats, parrots, horses, donkeys, goats, cows, chickens (many of them hand raised or rescued) and worked on several dairy farms. Our daughter also loves cats and dogs so enjoys taking them for walks and throwing balls etc.

We've house sat for various families over the last few years, primarily in New Plymouth, some with pets and some without. We have looked after quite a few cats and dogs and as well as farm animals including horses, alpacas, cows, chickens etc.

Added benefits: I'm a keen gardener so can look after plants/lawns if needed. My wife Hannah has previously been a professional cleaner for lodges/houses in the states.
