Hi, we are a husband and wife team who love travelling, housesitting and caring for your pets.
My name is Leanne and I'm a community Midwife and my husband Derek is a Geologist but now does all the financial management of my midwifery business.
We are very experienced housesitters with over 20 housesits in NZ, UK, Europe and Canada, which we did with our 2 children while we traveled for 18 months The children are now teenagers and doing their own things.
We have done most of the housesits through TrustedHousesitters website and have 5 star reviews. We even got a TrustedHousesitter Super Sitter award.
We are experienced at looking after gardens, mowing lawns and generally doing whatever is needed to keep your place running smoothly while you are away.
You can have a restful holiday knowing your pets and home will be well cared for. We have looked after a large variety of animals and many breeds of dogs. We are available for interview over the internet via Zoom or Messenger. We are happy to answer any questions you might have and look forward to hearing from you.

We were absolutely delighted with Leanne and Derek as house sitters. While we were away they sent us daily updates and photos of our dog, Rosa, enjoying fabulous walks in reserves and places with water (she is a water dog and water is a magnet for her). We arrived home to a very happy dog and a very tidy house ! Thank you both for your frequent communication while we were away, and your care of our home and especially Rosa. ☺️👍🏻

It was lovely to meet Leeanne and Derek via Messenger prior to them coming, and to see them briefly on the first day. They left our home nice and tidy, and Jack had a lovely time following them around the garden.

We met the day prior which was a fantastic opportunity to introduce them to our pets and show them around. Leanne and Derek are absolutely lovey. After a quick meeting as we headed out the door on holiday we were totally at ease knowing the house and our dog Woody and 2 guinea pigs were in great hands. Leanne sent us updates, pics and had great communication with us when we were away, and we came home to a beautiful clean house and clean sheets. Would highly recommend them to others.
