Tine & Bart

36, Head of school / traveller

35, English teacher / traveller

Hi! We're Bart & Tine, a Belgian couple in their mid-thirties. We're the proud pet parents of Dopje, a black cat (with a little white bib).

We both work in education. I'm an English teacher at a secondary school, Tine is the head of a Steiner/Waldorf school in Brussels. This school year (2024-2025), we decided to take some much-needed (and in our opinion, well-deserved ;) ) time off to travel the world for a bit (mainly Asia).

It's been a blast, but where to go in January and later on remained a mystery, until this website came around! We're vegetarian animal lovers, and combining this with our travelling seems like the perfect opportunity. It will certainly help us cope with the missing of our beloved cat Dopje, too!

We would love to petsit because we adore animals! We cannot resist giving attention to any random furry (or scaly) creature we come across (as seen in the attached pictures). Their different quirks, habits, personalities, ... it's endlessly fascinating.

We've got a lot of experience with taking care of cats (currently and in our younger years), and my family has always had a dog. We know what it feels like to have the reassurance that your fur baby is being taken care of with love while you're away. We aim to provide that service!

Knowing your house is being treated well is equally reassuring! We feel we're good house sitting candidates because we've treated every accommodation we've ever stayed at with a lot of respect and cleanliness. Our 'wild' years are long behind us, we don't do drugs or smoke and we rarely drink. You won't have noticed we were ever there. Except for your very healthy and happy furry friend, of course!

Living abroad for a bit and getting used to the life there, away from the drab winter in Belgium, seems like a perfect fit for our travelling journey.
