We own our home in Hastings outright but don't have a cat or dog, however we do very much enjoy the company of pets. We are a couple who used to own a rather large caravan in which we enjoyed extended trips around both islands.
As an alternative we thought joining this group would be another great way to visit and spend time in other regions. We have spent years off shore so we really do appreciate just how great New Zealand is.
Spending time away in the caravan meant a pet wasn't practical even though a lot of people do have them, we decided not to do that, but we still like the cuddles a pet can give you.
Being able to look after a pet from time to time for us is the best of both worlds which means we are looking forward to helping you out.
Lorraine's career was in optometry and I was in IT, spending the latter part of my career in Singapore working for a large international bank.
We can supply very good references that will vouch for our ability to take care of a home, but happy to chat about this if wanted.

We cannot rate these sitters highly enough. We had excellent communication throughout our 4 weeks away and came back to a warm and immaculate home. There was a bacon and egg pie and an apple crumb dessert waiting for us in the fridge and these were yummy. Our two cats looked great and appeared to have been well fed and groomed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this couple and they will be first choice if we travel next time.

Trevor and Lorraine are an absolutely wonderful couple who are great communicators, showed confidence and a "can do attitude". They instantly connected with our 3 fur-babies. They know what they are doing as previous reviews indicate. We would happily have them housesit again if travelling distance is not too much for them. Trevor and Lorraine were amazing house sitters while we were overseas for three weeks. They looked after the house, garden, dog and chickens and acted fast when the dog need vet care, giving medication for a week and reassuring us that all was well. The house was spotless when we came home, with soup and fresh bread made for our lunch. We had the utmost confidence in Trevor and Lorraine and were delighted our first experience with Kiwihousesitters went so well.

Excellent house sitters. It was lovely to come home to a really clean tidy house and happy dog. The welcome home with soup and flowers was much appreciated. They also carried out a few maintenance jobs around the property while we were away so everything was in fine shape when we returned home. We were able to have a lovely holiday with Trevor & Lorraine looking after our house & pets. The house was kept in superb condition & the pets were happy & relaxed when we got back. They even welcomed us back with a bowl of soup which was just right after a long journey. Very easy people to get on with.
