Hi there! We're a mature, non-smoking, fully vaccinated (and boosted) Kiwi couple who are trustworthy, kind, caring and considerate. We're both animal lovers, especially cats and dogs, and keen to help look after other people's fur babies. We love nature and the outdoors and enjoy travel having a special interest in motorcycle trips. We've both owned cats for many years and I was brought up on a large sheep farm in the Central North Island.
My partner David previously served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force and then worked for Air New Zealand for over 30 years in aircraft maintenance. I worked for over 30 years as an Occupational Therapist in Health & Social Care settings in both New Zealand and the UK. After my return to New Zealand 7.5 years ago I both volunteered for and worked as a Volunteer Driving Coordinator for the Cancer Society in Christchurch. I've undertaken casual work since giving up full time employment 2.5 years ago and have volunteered in various capacities throughout my life. Nothing gives us greater personal satisfaction than being helpful and doing kind things for others. We consider it both an honour and a privilege to care for someone elses home and pets.
We've completed a number of awesome pet/house sits over the past 2.5 years and now regularly undertake repeat sits for people we've got to know. We choose to look after one dog at a time (not puppies) and any number of cats, fish or chickens. We pride ourselves on being flexible and adaptable to accommodate the different needs and requirements of pet and house owners.

The most amazing house sitters you can find. The animals were clearly a top priority which gave us huge comfort while away. We came home to a better home in every way. Absolutely love having Nicki and David looking after our girls. Our girls can be very picky at choosing their people. But they have absolutely latched on both of them, sometimes we have to remind them that we’re their parents! They looked after our girls soo well and kept us updated throughout the whole holiday. This was the longest we’ve been away from them so it was hard. But having them looked after so well eased our worries. Highly recommend them!
David was really great with our girls (cats). Our girls don’t normally trust people easily but they trusted him straight away and even slept with him first night! Looked after our house really well, absolutely spotless. He also watered our garden too especially while it was a hot week. We will definitely use them again for future sits. Thanks for looking after our girls!
Nicki and David took excellent care of our house and cat while we were away. They were fantastic with their communication - giving us regular updates. On their departure, they left the place spotless. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Communication was great, they came over beforehand so we could run through some things & then kept in touch whist we were on holiday. Nicki is careful not to bother people too much whilst on holiday but I'm the kind of person who likes updates, which she knows, so I got regular photos. They took him to a variety of walks, and play-dates with some other dogs he already knows in the area & which they have house-sat for before. Nicki & David looked after our energetic labradoodle and our cat Maple for 7 weeks and we found them easy to communicate with, got regular up-dates while away and on arrival found the house clean & tidy and the animals well looked after and loved. We felt in very safe hands and would highly recommend Nicki and David. In fact, we already pre-booked them for another house sit.

We thoroughly recommend Nicky and David. From the first meeting we could see how much they loved dogs. As a couple they are very caring and respectful, self sufficient and reliable. Whatever we asked of them was done with no fuss. We enjoyed their company very much and were lucky to spend a couple of days with them before we left in our trip. They arrived as Housesitters and left as friends. We are looking forward to seeing them again soon.

Nicki and David were the best house and petsitters! From before we left until we got home the communication was excellent and lots of lovely updates of our furbabies too. Nicki and David were absolute life-savers! We needed a sitter for a long-term sit on short notice due to a death in the family overseas and thank goodness we were able to get them. Nicki and David went above and beyond looking after my house, and cat Louie. I came home to a house that was cleaner than when I went away, a yummy crumble in the fridge baked with peaches from my garden and a happy cat. Their communication was great as well. I would definitely have them back again!
