Hello and bonjour! We are Jen and Shane, an Australian - Canadian couple travelling the world and caring for your pets and homes along the way! We’re active, non-smoking, compassionate, self employed digital nomads who are devoted to being the best sitters of your home and pets!
We met while backpacking in Thailand in 2019 and have been travelling the world together ever since.
We started pet-sitting together in Luxembourg in 2020, then the UK where we sat some dogs and kitties around London, camped in Wales and Scotland before making our way to Holland, Belgium, and then Sweden in 2021-2022 for a year where we took care of some adorable doggos, kitties and chooks. Then ended 2022 with 6 months of dog and cat sits around Canada, 2023 was house-sitting across Australia and and now we've now been exploring New Zealand since January 2024 and pet-sitting is our favourite way to travel.
We love animals, chocolate, discovering new cultures and experiences, rock climbing, hiking, music, board games, video games, great food, and great company.
House sitting gives us the perfect opportunity to experience other cultures and travel while enjoying the comforts of a home and the company of adorable pets. We've enjoyed it so much over the past few years that we couldn't imagine travelling any other way.
We have decades of experience between us to ensure your pets will be comfortable and safe and your home taken care of while you're away. We've taken care of older and sick pets also and are fine with giving medication and handling special needs animals.
We're also trained in pet first aid and CPR.
Look forward to meeting you and your pets!
We have many 5 star reviews on another house-sitting website (and we're not allowed to share the link here) but below is just one of them :
"Jennifer Cleal and partner Shane were exemplary caregivers for our pet dog Chico and home in October 2022. Our main priority was the dog, who is 16 years old, and has all kinds of infirmities. They immediately made themselves aware of his (dis) abilities and coordinated all their activities to suit him about which we were grateful. Chico, the dog, seemed quite happy with them and looked for their company days after the sit was finished. They played with him, taught him some new tricks, and bought him some lovely treats.
Upon return, we found the house to be clean, and tidy, and they even had a wonderful lunch and dinner for us. They communicated often about Chico’s well-being and their activities with him. We were extremely happy with their care of our home and pet, and would be very happy to have them back when they return to North America from down under!" - Nathalie and John, Vancouver, Canada
