I'm Louise, a 47 year old, gentle introvert that prefers the company of animals to humans! I love that house sitting gives me the opportunity to hang out with lots of new furry friends!
I've been house sitting for 7 years now with many happy home owners who ask me to return. I'm originally from the UK and I moved to NZ 9 years ago, in search of warmer weather and new adventures. I like to explore so house sitting gives me a good opportunity to do this.
I'm a writer / editor and I work from home, which means I can provide lots of attention to your fur babies. I'm an extremely quiet and respectful house guest.
I enjoy nature, exercise, reading, movies and meditation in my leisure time.

Louise was amazing and we cannot thank her enough for how she looked after our beautiful 17 year old cat for the 2 months. 2 weeks before we got home Cleo was unwell and was diagnosed with severe glaucoma. Louise had her straight to the vets, emergency hospital and then the eye specialist. All of this was done with love and care and way beyond what would be expected of anyone. Cleo absolutely adored Louise and never left her side. We arrived home to Cleo being very comfortable and we were ... This is the 2nd time Louise has looked after our cat Cleo. Yet again she was awesome coming home to a happy cat and clean and tidy house. We highly recommend Louise to anyone looking for a pet and house sitter. We will see you again at the end of January. Thanks again Louise 😻😻

Louise was amazing. Great communication. She sent photos of our cat during our trip. Both the house and our cat were in excellent hands. I would happily use her again, and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Amazing! Louise took awesome care of our dog and cats, she always stayed in communication and the house was clean and tidy when we arrived home. Louise didn't have an easy sit as ourselves and our neighbours had 2 separate emergencies and Louise assisted us from afar and also our neigbours, she really went out of her way to help and we and our neighbours are truly grateful for her assistance and time.

I'm so glad we found Louise. She stayed at our house for 3 weeks and was wonderful to our elderly needy old cats, one needed meds twice a day and help with feeding because he had only a few teeth, and constant feeding due to hyperthyroidism. They loved Louise and slept with her and cuddled on her rug. This is the first time I have had the cats not lose condition while we have been away so she took very good care of them and even sent us cute photos of them. We highly recommend Louise.

Louise is a cat whisperer! Our very shy, timid rescue cat Zuki always runs away and hides when friends are visiting, but Louise quickly won her over. I was so impressed and happy to see photos of Zuki cuddling and calmly sleeping all over Louise (and a bit jealous too haha). Great communication, Louise gave us peace of mind while we were away for 2 months, and we found Zuki happy and healthy when we got back. I thoroughly recommend Louise to look after someone's home and furry baby :-)

Louise was a marvelous house and dog sitter, totally reliable, trustworthy and most especially just wonderful to our golden retriever Bonnie. She really cared for the property which is large and everything was in great order when we returned. It was a real pleasure to do business with Louise, and we'd thoroughly recommend her as a house sitter. She was absolutely reliable and competent. Our beloved cat is extremely shy, but Louise won her over and we got photos of Charlie curled up on her lap etc. It was lovely to come home and find washing done, milk in fridge, full notes for us etc. (We were delayed getting back so missed her by a few hours.) We are so appreciative of all her care and attention to our pet, and to the property.

Louise was a *fabulous* housesitter. She took great care of our cat, Tui and kept in regular contact via email and facebook messenger re how things were going . how Tui was etc. We really appreciated the photos of Tui that Louise emailed us. Louise is a great communicator, and answered our questions promptly. House was left lovely and tidy on our return, and Tui was happy too! We would happily recommend Louise as a trustworthy and reliable person, and we hope to have her house sit again.

This is a long overdue review for a wonderful lady, house sitter and cat carer. She looked after my place and furry feline friend when I had to dash to the UK to see a seriously ill relative. Louise was terrific. She looked after my place as if it was her own. Most importantly my cat was happy and content. Top marks.

She went beyond the call of duty and chased up our plumber to get the heating fixed as she knew by the time we got back we might need it. We hope she is available the next time we are away. Louise looked after my house a while ago for a week and most recently for a month while I was away on holiday. She was a very responsible house sitter, contacting me when necessary, and keeping me up to date on any issues. Each time that I returned the house was beautifully clean and in order. I would definitely get her to look after my house again.

She sent us regular messages with photos of our cat, and although our cat is quite shy, she was very content and happy to have Louise look after her, which says a lot about Louise!
