Dot and Malcolm
Our house is on a 20 acre lifestyle block, Patetonga . ( Nearest town is Ngatea). The circular drive provides ample parking if needed for a camper van / motor home. The duties include shifting approx 30 ewes and lambs and 8 cattle . Care also includes 2 cats and chickens /ducks. We will show you what is needed and we leave a detailed file . This will most likely suit those who have had experience with farm / lifestyle blocks). The home is a 4 bedroom home with swimming pool .
The nearest town is Ngatea - we are 35 minutes from Thames . A car is necessary . We leave the place as easy care as possible .
We are in a great spot to explore the Coromandel .
We have successfully had house sitters - we attempt to ensure that they enjoy and are able to relax in our home .
Loved my time on this small farm. Everything was EXCEPTIONALLY well set up to make it easy to look after the animals and house. A peaceful and comfortable setting. I am really looking forward to returning for the sit we have confirmed for next year.
Dot and Malcolm were so kind and welcomed us with dinner and sweet treats, much needed as we travelled straight from the Hobbiton half marathon! The animals were easy to care for, with detailed instructions left for us and a quick tutorial when we arrived. The cats weren't a fan of each other but both enjoyed attention from us! We were able to go out for the day and the location is ideal as a base. Would definitely recommend.
Dot and Malcolm are wonderful, generous people. Their house is modern and spacious and the farm is full of interesting animals and in a beautiful setting, with sweeping views of the distant mountains. There is fresh fruit off the trees, herbs from the garden and the hens give free range eggs in exchange for a handful of wheat.
Love sitting for Dot and Malcolm. It just feels like coming home. The animals are no problem easy to care for. The cat let's you know when she wants more food. Can't wait for the next time.
Dot and Malcolm are a lovely couple, made us feel very welcome. The instructions on what to do for the animals were very easy to follow. Loved looking after them all. They have an amazing property and would love to sit for them again

Our house sit at Dot and Malcolm's was wonderful. They have a beautiful home and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. They were great with communication leading up to the house sit and once we arrived they provided all the information we needed to care for the property. It was quite fun spending time with the animals and they only required minimal care.
