We are a family of 5 with one friendly small dog and a flock of chickens. We live in a large renovated Lockwood home on the edge of Thames, with a lovely big garden and bush outlook. Our property backs onto bush trails and a beautiful creek and is 5 minutes from the town centre. Thames has plenty of lovely cafes, a Saturday market and a new boutique cinema. The Thames Coast and Kauaraenga Valley are beautiful to explore.

The house-sitter would need to feed and walk our dog, water the glasshouse and care for our chickens. Someone keen to potter in the garden and manage possum and rat traps would be a bonus but not essential. We have a wood-burner and heat pump, you will need to be happy splitting kindling and fire lighting.

A well behaved dog would also be welcome so long as they are used to being around free-range chickens.
