We need a house sitter

Southland - Invercargill

We require a pet sitter over the Easter period. We live on 5 acres in a quiet peaceful setting right on the boundary of Invercargill, in a lovely near new sunny home with a 3 year old Spoodle (she is a very quiet wee dog who loves to sit on your knee) and 8 free range hens, that will keep you supplied with fresh free range eggs. If you don’t like chickens we do have a neighbour who will happily collect the eggs for us.
We also have some sheep that will look after themselves but may need troughs filled with water occasionally. It is an easy low maintenance job.

We would like someone who would be willing to walk our dog and check the hens self feeder is topped up.
We ask that if you are house sitting you would treat our home with respect as you would your own. We would prefer people who won’t be having gatherings and many visitors coming and going.

We had a great 10 days at Jodies house with Izzy and the hens! The house was so beautiful, and everything was very organised for our arrival. Izzy is such a sweet dog and took any opportunity to snuggle up, she is so happy and a joy to be around. The garden was also great with a big veggie garden and plenty of fresh eggs each day. We really enjoyed our stay there and Jodie was quick to respond if we had any questions. All round great sit!

Jodie and Andrew made our stay an absolute pleasure. Izzy is a very sweet dog who loves attention of any kind - walks, trips, cuddling, running after toys. Sheep and chicken were a great companions too, easy to take care of. The garden and house as such is located in a calm neighbourhood, all very well maintained, we felt very comfortable and cosy. Thank you, we would definitely stay again!

Highly recommend this pet sit. Izzy was a joy to look after a very snuggly well behaved dog. The house was very comfortable warm exceptionally clean and tidy with lovely garden areas. Surrounding areas are private and quiet amongth well established lifestyle blocks.. Communication with Jodie was excellent. Would not hesitate to pet sit again.
