Red Beach Rodney

North Auckland, Warm, Dry, Cosy. 1 old cat and 1 old(ish) dog

We’re heading away in September to stay with family and are looking for a caring, considerate person (or two!) to look after our lovely townhouse in Red Beach, north of Auckland, along with our cat and dog.

Both my partner and I work from home, with the occasional in-office day, so Bella (our dog) is quite used to having someone around during the day. If you have a similar setup, that would be ideal.

Our townhouse is part of a new block of five. It’s warm, dry, and cosy in the winter, with heating on both levels. The local community is friendly and welcoming, and there’s a short walk around a stormwater pond just across the road.

We’re 2 km from the beach – about a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. You’ll also find a small shopping mall in Silverdale nearby, as well as great restaurant and shopping options in Orewa. We've also got fantastic regional parks a short 20/30 minute drive away.

We have two great pets to keep you company during your stay:

Pud (the cat)
Pud is an older kitty who’s independent and low maintenance. She needs food, water, and the occasional bit of fuss.

Bella (the dog):
Bella is a senior Bearded Collie x Huntaway who’s enjoying her golden years. She’s enthusiastic but runs out of steam quickly. She thrives on routine and loves two short walks a day (morning and evening). If you’re up for it, she’ll happily join you for a lunchtime wander too.
No medication requirements, although her back legs aren't what they used to be, so she can be clumsy!

Garden:
We have a small garden, but this is mostly stones so no garden care is needed.

We're looking for:
Someone responsible and attentive who will enjoy our home for the 3 weeks and give Bella and Pud the love and care they’re used to.
