Hello!
We are looking for a housesitter from Friday 24th January to Monday 27th January in our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with our cheeky 4 year old cat called Kenny and our pretty 3 year old delight called Missy.
Both cats are friendly and enjoy a pat, though occasionally Kenny just wants to play and not cuddle. Missy can take a bit of time to warm up to new people, but once she’s warm she’ll be like a little shadow.
They're pretty easy to take care of. They enjoy laying in the sun on the bed or go outside to explore. They have a cat door which they use.
The house is in a safe cul-de-sac road and is the end house of the driveway with off-street parking for two-three cars. We are a 2 minute drive to Onerahi Beach, 5 minute drive to Okara Park Shopping Centre, 8 minutes to town and a scenic 20 minute drive to Whangarei Heads for walks and beaches. The house was recently built, and is a modern and comfortable home with heat/cold AC pump, washing machine, dryer, big smart TV, heaps of books, board games and super fast fibre Wi-Fi included. The guest room has a comfy queen bed and there is also a single bed if needed. The neighbours are quiet and friendly, and are available to help if you have an emergency.

PS Hendrix, the cat in most of our reviews, unfortunately passed away from old age a few months ago.
I had a great time looking after Kenny and Missy! Super friendly cats and easy to care for. Lovely house and garden as well, simple to look after outside and indoor plants. Briar was really helpful, explained everything to me well and was easy to reach if I had any questions, and also kindly gave me recommendations of things to do in the area. Thank you for having me!

It was an absolute pleasure to take care of Kenny for a few days. He is easy going and does what he wants. He loves to have cuddles and he knows exactly when you put the wet food in his bowl☺️.
Give him the chance and you will have company in bed😂.

We had the best time looking after Hendrix and Kenny! They were absolutely adorable and easy to look after! Hendrix needed a little extra care but it was so easy to provide the medication. The house had everything we could possibly need and we had great communication if there were any questions. The house is in a great location and we were given great recommendations for local walks/restaurant and cafes. We’d recommend this sit to anyone!
Kenny and Hendrix were great cats! Very easy to manage and very lovable. Briar was super organised with having written instructions for the cats and house which was great.

Briar was great from start to finish. Provided us with an informative visit prior to sit and had great communication as needed through and after house sit completed. Lovely, comfortable and clean home and wonderful Hendrix the cat was a pleasure to care for with his individual needs. He was a great cuddler on the couch and not hard to care for at all despite his vision loss. A most enjoyable house sit.
I really enjoyed my time in Onerahi looking after Hendrix the cat. Briar and replied to messages promptly. I appreciated her clear written instructions to refer back to. The home is modern and cosy with a private outdoor fenced space. The bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep. I would happily look after Hendrix again.
We had an amazing time taking care of Hendrix. He is literally an angel. Hendrix is such a sweet boy, he loves to be brushed and have some fresh air outside. We had excellent communication through our house sitting period with Briar.
Throughly enjoyed our short stay at Briar's home. A lovely townhouse in a nice location.
Hendrix is a lovely old cat. He may have slowed down but he still loves a cuddle.

We were warmly welcomed to our weekend sit and got clear instructions along with detailed and helpful notes. I had a lovely easy pet sit with Hendrix who is a senior cat. He is very compliant and easy to look after and slept a lot. The flat was cosy comfy and very clean. I had a very pleasant stay. Briar and Pauline are lovely, with great communication and hospitable for my stay.
Great stay there, even if the weather was so bad !
Hendrix is old but really cute, need to be fed, quite indépendant but will love some cuddles.

It was a pleasure to care for Hendrix, he is a beautiful elder cat and was very helpful in allowing me to give him his medication. He enjoyed being hand fed and reclined in his bed most of the time when not lying in the garden. The house is great - good garden, very clean and comfortable with a wonderful Christmas Tree. Briar and Pauline were a delight to meet and the instructions were very carefully and meticulously thought out. I would highly recommend looking after Hendrix and enjoying this ... MORE
