LOOKING FOR HOUSE SITTER

Lifestyle Block (7hectares) situated 13kms from Balclutha.
North Facing home with magical views.
Close proximity to the Catlins.

Ideally we would love to meet someone that would be interested in house sitting on a regular basis and building a relationship with our animals, but if you are only available for a one off sit please contact us also.

We are going away for a week at the end of March and again for a week at the Easter Break in April. .

We have 4 cats, An 18 mth old Burmese , 2 1/2 yr old ragdoll and 2 barn cats. 1 inside dog, a whole bunch of chickens, some sheep and some cattle on our land.

We live in a lovely sunny home which is north facing and has wonderful views. You can enjoy the views while sitting in the spa pool relaxing.

It is a rural location so very quiet and peaceful. We are a 10 minute drive to Balclutha township.

Duties will include - feeding the chooks their treats in the morning, collecting eggs daily. Feeding the cats, Mr Bean, Momo, Harry and Bobby. Feeding the dog, Nonu and keeping him entertained with a walk etc.
Watering inside plants.
Watering Glasshouse and picking vegetables.
You are welcome to use the fresh vegetables and free range eggs.

Ange and Al are the nicest, warmest, and most generous people we've met in New Zealand. They welcomed us to their home a day before the sit and they made us feel like a part of their family. The cats Mr Bean, Momo, Harry, the chooks, and dog Nonu stole our hearts during the sit. They were adorable, cheeky, fun to be with, and a breeze to take care of. We really enjoyed our time looking after Ange and Al's animals on their lovely rural property. Even though it was out in the country it was only a short drive into Balclutha. Dogs Paddy and Nonu were really great company as were the cats, Momo, Bean and Harry. Each had a personality of their own making for a fair few laughs and a lot of fun times. We had our first house sit here at Ange and Al‘s place and it couldn’t have been any better! They have a lovely house with a beautiful view and adorable pets. The dogs Paddy and Nonu were our best friends right from the beginning and didn’t leave our sides. They love to play with tennis balls and love walks on the beach. We absolutely loved our stay at Ange and Alberts place and especially loved getting to know the animals. Momo is very playful and Paddy and Nonu were great company. Getting to know all the wonderful animals and look after them for Ange and Albert was a real treat! I had an excellent introduction so I knew what I was doing. Paddy is fantastic for playing fetch, and while Nonu and I didn't quite get the hang of it, he was super adorable running around with the ball in his mouth! Angela and Albert are a wonderfully hospitable couple. They left clear instructions, communication was clear and efficient. Their pets (3 cats and 2 dogs) are all fantastic and great characters. Arnie the oldest cat is the most affectionate of the cats, Bobby and Harry are young brothers who are very playful. Bobby takes a bit more to warm up but when he does he is cuddly.
