Hey!
We’re Jade and Daniel, an animal-loving Kiwi couple who have been together for 6 years.
We’ve lived in various parts of New Zealand—Auckland, Dunedin, Wellington, and Taranaki—and recently returned to Auckland after some time travelling overseas.
Jade works as a PA at PwC, and Dan is a qualified land and construction surveyor.
We first got into house sitting for family, friends and colleagues through word of mouth, which quickly grew into something bigger. Now we are full-time professional house/pet-sitters, and we love it!
It’s a great way to meet wonderful animals, explore different neighbourhoods, and save for our own home and future pets.
Why Us?
- We just love animals! Whether your dog loves a long hike, your cat just needs a lap to nap on, or your chickens need some TLC, we’ll take care of them like they’re our own.
- Between us, we have a lot of experience, including giving medication (pills, syringes, or external treatments) and handling all kinds of routines—strict diets, feeding schedules, or just plenty of belly rubs and playtime.
- We’re both outdoorsy and active, so your pups will get all the walks and adventures they could dream of!
- Our jobs are super flexible. Jade works from home part of the week, and Dan’s afternoons are mostly home-based, so your pets will never feel lonely.
- Dan grew up on a small farm and is pretty handy with gardening and general property maintenance.
Whether it’s watering plants, mowing the lawn, or fixing something small, we’ve got it covered.
What You Can Expect:
- Happy, well-cared-for pets who get all the attention, exercise, and cuddles they need.
- A clean, secure, and well-maintained home—including any gardening or small tasks you’d like us to handle.
- Regular updates and cute photos of your pets while you’re away (if wanted).
- We bring our own linen and towels, so you don’t have to deal with extra laundry when you get home.
- Plans can change, so we’re flexible if you need us to stay a little longer (within reason).
We’re all about making your time away as stress-free as possible, ensuring your home and pets are in safe, loving hands.

Jade and Daniel looked after our home and dog for a week in February. From the start, there was excellent communication. They came to meet Lucy (dog) beforehand and stayed for an overview of the house and routine etc. They arranged to arrive a couple of hours after we left and left not long before we arrived home. We came home to a happy dog (although I think she was a bit miffed that Jade and Daniel weren't coming back ha ha) and a lovely clean and tidy house. I can totally recommend this ... MORE
Jade & Daniel were terrific pet sitters for our cat and dog, they obviously love animals and were confident & professional with them. Our Ruby and Ginny loved them straightaway! Communication was great before and during the sit. Jade spent time getting to know and understand the animals needs. The house was beautifully cleaned for our return, And happy animals:)

Jade and Daniel looked after our two dogs and home for 8 days in January.
We felt super comfortable leaving the country knowing they were taking care of our beloved dogs and home.
Unfortunately one of our dogs has a health condition which flared up while we were away, and on our return it took a couple of weeks to get it under control again. Jade and Daniel have been absolutely amazing! We've met before so they got to see the house and meet the fur babies and we clicked immediately! They are both so kind and lovely and we felt so safe and secure for them to look after our babies seeing they both love animals a lot and were so lovely when we met them.

Jade & Dan were fabulous housesitters, great communication before the sit, turned up on time and when our return flight was cancelled they had no hesitation staying on for another night, life savers! They had a lovely rapport with our elderly dog and our cats. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jade & Dan or using them again.
Jade and Dan are a lovely friendly couple who clearly love our cats to bits (and vice versa)!

Jade and Daniel were absolute superstars as our house sitters!!! They cared for our dog and cat like they were their own, giving them so much love and attention. Was a pleasure to have Jade & Dan look after our 2 cats and home. From first contact communication was fantastic throughout, they were accomodating of our needs and pre-visit for instructions even though it was only 2 nights. They brought their own sheets which was a huge beneift when as an owner we were only away for such a short period of time. The house looked after, a vaccum on deprarture would have been good, but overall our kitty's were well cared for which was the priority.
Jade and Daniel are wonderful house sitters who looked after our home and two cats with care and professionalism. Our anxious cat warmed up to them quickly, and it was clear both pets were content and well looked after.
We returned to a spotless home and very happy cats. They even brought their own linen so we had no washing to do on our return!
We highly recommend Jade and Daniel to anyone looking for reliable and caring house/pet sitters.
