My profile name came from another house sitting site. She started by writing:
" I wish I could give Brian a hundred stars! He is honestly everything we could have hoped for in a house sitter and much more (yes, he actually cleaned our oven)." (See PS below) *
Oven cleaning is not a given :-)
To date, all of my house sitting has been in Australia.
I have all of my reviews, from that other site, available to forward to you. All are verifiable at your request.
I have three children and four grandchildren in NZ. In the 10 years up to December 2023, I managed a residential complex of 86 permanent tenancies on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Because of this work, I was subjected to a police check every year. Enviable unsolicited compliments from property owners can be provided along with house sitting reviews. That business has now been sold along with my home on the Sunshine Coast.
Previously owned 4 hectare property in NZ, running sheep, cattle, goats and chickens with family cats for nearly 20 years. Well experienced in pet care and odd jobs around the house.
I can be accused of being 'obsessive compulsive' when it comes to cleanliness. I can't stand dirt on floors and I vacuum all floor surfaces in used areas daily.
Also, I prefer not to cook inside, using a bbq wherever possible, even on these cold nights.
And, don't worry about cleaning before you leave; I'm happy to look after that for you.
I look forward to being able to look after your home and pets (or any other animals).

Brian is an exceptional house sitter & we’re hoping to book him for all our future sits. We knew from the moment we met Brian that he would take good care of Xena, our German Shepherd. She loved him from that moment on. He took her for walks around the property & gave her lots of cuddles which was very important to us. Unfortunately we had to cancel our holiday because of health reasons and Brian was amazing. He was so understanding and totally supportive of our decision and his best wishes are concern made the decision a lot easier. We are looking forward to having Brian stay in the future.

Brian was a great sitter, took great care of our border collie , Tom and took him for long walks to the beach which Tom loves. The house was left clean and tidy, and the garden was well looked after. Would definitely use Brian again. If you are looking for a great sitter, you will not go wrong with Brian.

I would be more than happy to have Brian housesit again. Although we never met in person, we connected virtually and spoke on the phone. Brian gave regular updates via text. His communication was excellent. It was wonderful to be able to walk back into our home that was left in an immaculate state and with happy pets.

Brian was great. He looked after our house and cat for 3.5 weeks. He provided regular (but not too frequent) updates and photos to us so we knew what was going on. He helped with some driveway remediation after some big rain storms. Brian left our home clean and stocked with firewood for when we got home -- thanks Brian!

Brian was fantastic. I could go away knowing that the house and pets would be in good hands. He kept me up to date with everything communicating on how the pets were going. He even went above and beyond by fixing up some tree guards for me in the horse paddock, cleaning the pool, walking the dog every day (even when it was raining) etc. The house was left immaculate on my return. I would highly recommend Brian as a house sitter and would gladly have him back next time I go away.
