We are active retirees and love travel & animals. We have owned dogs (Golden Retrievers, Weimaraner, Boxers) & cats (multiple Persians, Scottish Fold & a number of moggies) continuously for the past 40 years.

Our last cat, Lucy a Persian passed over last year and although we thought we wouldn't get another one we now have another Persian kitten.

We love to travel New Zealand and get more furball hits by looking after other people's animals.

We live in North Canterbury so our preference is the South Island due to logistics of crossing Cook Strait but would consider the North Island if a vehicle was available to us for the time of the sit.

Mark is a retired Police Officer of 30 years and we have owned a BnB which was recommended by the 2019 Lonely Planet so you can rest assured your home will be well cared for.

We love walking and until recently we were walking Teddy, a Poodle for an elderly lady and have minded Ginny, a Bichon in our home for our neighbours a few times whilst they were overseas.

We do have references from Teddy's mum and Ginny's dad and can provide contact details if required.

All I can say is wow, Mark and Janice did a wonderful job, my property was so well looked after and so were my pets. Both Mark and Janice went over and above and I am so grateful. It was so nice to come back to our house and just be able to just arrive to a nice clean home and happy pets. I can not thank you both enough and hope to have you back next year.

Janice and Mark cared for our home and cat for ten days. They were considerate and respectful. The house was left tidier than when we departed for our holiday. They were communicative and I would recommend them wholeheartedly as very good people to entrust your home and pets with.

Mark and Janice have taken care of our home and pets on two occasions and we cannot recommend them highly enough. They are lovely caring people that our animals loved spending time with. The house was cleaner on our return than when we left and there was always a lovely wee flower arrangement waiting for us. Communication was easy and ever flowing. If you are lucky enought to secure Mark and Janice to housesit for you, you will not be sorry. They are amazing:-)
