I am looking for housesitting jobs anywhere in NZ so I can take a break from a commitment to rent and to save some money while I decide on the next step after the death of my husband. I love animals, and have had lots of cats and dogs in the family over the years. Pets are members of the family and it’s important that you feel relaxed and confident that they are being taken care of while you are away. I am a freelance translator, so I take my job wherever I go. This means I can provide company and cuddles to your pets all day and in the evenings. I have my own car. I am tidy, reliable and responsible. I don’t smoke or drink. I love nature and walking, music (I play the piano) and reading. Please feel free to reach out if you think I would be a good fit.

We could not have asked for a more ideal sitter! It was our first time arranging a house sitter so we were quite nervous and unsure about the process. We are so very grateful to have connected with Amy. She helped us prepare well in advance and made sure we could go away with our home, our pets and our plants in trusted hands. Amy was a wonderful sitter! Molly, my little furry feline friend, has clearly been wonderfully cared for while I was away and the house was immaculate when I got home. Amy kept in touch with good communications throughout my trip. I definitely recommend her as I am sure she will do a wonderful job of looking after your home and pets.

If we could give Amy more stars we would! She is a very personable young lady who left our house sparkling clean. After 2 and 1/2 weeks, we returned to our gardens and potted plants (we have about 200!) thriving. This despite the house-sit being over a dry period, and was all down to Amy's conscientious watering. She also froze some of the garden produce for us, thank you!
