Louise & Tommy

Hi,

We’re a responsible couple who absolutely love animals! Having spent our first two months in New Zealand WWOOFing and meeting some amazing people, we’re now hoping to branch into house-sitting.

I’m a freelance illustrator currently working on a few book projects due in April, so having a home to work from would be a big help. Tommy is also an artist who may have projects to work on, but he’ll often be out walking—especially if there’s a dog that could use some exercise!

We’re very respectful and tidy, and we treat every home we stay in with the utmost care. I grew up with dogs, chickens, and cats, so I have plenty of experience caring for animals.

We’d love the opportunity to care for your home and any beloved pets while you’re away!

"We were lucky enough to have Louise and Tommy stay with us. They were lovely, easy to get on with, and we had lovely chats at mealtimes. They worked thoughtfully at any task given and you could see that their goal was to do the best job possible. This included lots of weeding, done thoroughly and tidily, weed-eating, trimming the messy flax bush, tidying up by some driveway edging, cutting and installing a DIY window screen that we had bought years ago (and never made-up), decorating and putting instructions on a bucket to use as a recycling bin. They were people you would give a slightly tricky task to because they would be careful how they did it. We are so very grateful for their help and wish them well on their NZ travels."
