We are a family of six: Sebastiaan, Meike and our four children. Three sweet daughters aged 13, 12 and 9 and our 6 year old son. We live in the Netherlands. From the end of March we will be travelling throughout New Zealand for approximately 12 months. We are not new to New Zealand; Sebastiaan grew up here (mostly in Hawkes Bay) and together we have visited New Zealand three times. This time we want to take our time to discover the land with the whole family.
Home Exchange is a platform that we have been using a lot for the last few years and we have received great reviews. We're new to pet sitting though and are keen to try this. Sebastiaan grew up with house pets so knows what it's like to have cats, dogs, rabbits and chicken. He's comfortable taking care of these animals and we're open to looking after other sorts of animals as well. Unfortunately we don't have pets ourselves because we travel a lot, but our kids are very excited of the pet sitting because they love animals. It's our 11yo daughters dream to start a farm with all kinds of animals when she's grown up.
We are a modest and respectful family, promise to give your pets lots of love and care and will take great care of your home and garden.

Sebastiaan and Meike and their gorgeous children looked after my very old dog Max so well. The kids were so lovely with Max. My house was extremely clean and tidy when I returned home. Sebastiaan sent me regular photos and updates. A pleasure to have them housesit for me. Would highly recommend them. no gardening required by me.

This was our first sitting experience. We have not been disappointed in any way. The communication was excellent and timely, The care of our pets Jak and Milly was superb ( they’ve slept for two days since they left as they’re exhausted 😂🤣). A lovely respectful family who have embraced the environment and local opportunities. The house was immaculate on our return . Sebastiaan, Meike and their children were great for our house sit, we loved having a family staying in our home while we were away for several months. The house was clean and very tidy on our return. We communicated via txt and they were able to help us out by shifting our car to the local airport for our return. We did not have any furbabies to care for but our outside animals were checked and feed. We would happily recommend this family to look after your home.

Sebastiaan, Meike and kids are a wonderful family. They took great care of our dog and our house. Diesel received so much love from them. Our house was clean and tidy when we got home, which was really nice as we were gone for 3 weeks. I highly recommend them for a sitter.
