I am a semi-retired plant ecologist. My interests are domestic arts (cooking, gardening and sewing), music (classical pianist) and nature.

I am a dog-lover, having owned several breeds (Sheltie, Labradors, Rhodesian Ridgeback) and often walk other people's dogs. I do not currently own a dog.

I enjoy traveling to different parts of the country and the countryside itself, having worked in it all my life.

I have house-sat for friends with pets (cats, dogs, poutlry) many times and also managed a hunter's lodge when the owners have been away.
