Hi there :-)
If you would like to be able to take a break away or are planning to spend a longer period of time away from your home/home & animals, I would love to have the opportunity to take care of what is precious to you.

I'm a very proud mum to a beautiful 26yr old daughter who is out in the world working, making music (singing jazz/performing) ha.ving completed 6 years of uni. Being able to house or house & pet sit, gives me a chance to take care of things for others & have some new experiences...even more so now as the last few years have been difficult for many.
At times, throughout the years, I've taken care of homes/properties & some very beloved pets (including some farm animals) in
Whangarei, Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Dannevirke, Canterbury, Waikanae, Coromandel & Marlborough areas through KHS, friends & word of mouth. I love animals & spending my time with them...am comfortable caring for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, 'pet' sheep (& perhaps some others too)....& will keep your gardens/lawns tidy.

I am kind, tidy, respectful, considerate & quiet living...love art & photography & any beach. My work history was within Tourism but while raising my daughter I got creative & revisited painting & photography/editing...all of which I enjoy in my own time. I had been blessed for 13yrs with the company, love & hysterics of a special little Chihuahua named Miggy who was my house/pet sitting partner in crime...sadly I kissed goodnight to him for the last time in June 2023. He made many new friends & was so loved by myself & everyone (including furbabies) who knew him. I miss him...& will love your pets just as much as I loved Miggy.
I will happily keep in touch with you while you are away, so that you don't have to worry.

Heather is a special person and we were privileged to have her pet sit our elderly dog and his cat brother while we were away. She is a very genuine pet carer who treated our fur babies as her own and provided loving care to Murty & Puccini for an extended house sit. Heather managed an extremely challenging situation with major power outages and water supply issues during this sit. We feel very lucky to have found Heather. She is a kind and generous individual. We were very anxious to be leaving our home and dog for such a long time, but from the first conversation with Heather she helped to put our minds at ease. She was supportive our chaotic schedule in the days leading up to our trip and very communicative throughout her stay. We returned to a house that was cleaner than we left it! Heather is amazing. From the very beginning she was lovely and I could tell she would look after our place and our wee fur baby 'TT'. her wee Miggy was a gorgeous wee friend for TT right from the start and he made himself right at home. We always appreciate when someone takes the time to visit before a sit, and heather and Miggy came for lunch a week prior and we felt very secure leaving our home and boy in their care. Heather has been wonderful - she took such good care of our dog who is on medication, gave us regular updates, and left the house neat and tidy. It is difficult to find people who are willing to take on the responsibility of looking after a sick dog. Heather made it possible for us to go and have a relaxing holiday without worrying about whether Luna would get all the care she needed. Heather sat for us on two occasions, the above date & also 22nd Aug to 28th'19. She stayed in our flat downstairs in between sits. It was easy to go away knowing our dog was in safe hands, she sent many messages & photos so kept me reassured. Good to come home to a happy dog, a tidy home and everything in order. Even has a meal waiting for us. Yes I would use Heather again without a doubt, sad to see her go.

Heather house sat for my Molliedog aged 4 and a half and Bonnie cat, aged 'so old', who can count that far! We met up a couple of times before I left to go overseas from June 12 through to July 10, 2019. From our first meeting, I was thrilled to know that she and her little dog Miggy were able to come and stay here at my home. Heather, we can't rate you highly enough! You communicated extremely well right from the very beginning which left us reassured that we were not going to be let down. No rating For 5 months, Heather looked after our house and garden in a most competent and efficient manner. Judging from the dog's demeanour on our return home, she (that is, our dog) thoroughly enjoyed Heather's and Midgie's (that is Heather's dog's) companionship and affection. Heather is an excellent communicator and kept us fully apprised of the state of things, both domestic and dog-wise, at all times. We have no hesitation in recommending Heather to the Kiwi HS community.
