Hi Everyone,
My name is Kathy and I have been a Kiwi Housesitter in the past (approx 5yr ago).
I live in Australia but my family mostly live in NZ and with a new baby grand-daughter to play with I thought, now is the perfect time to get back into it!
I did 3 House-sits with Kiwi Housesitters in 2018/19 and really enjoyed them all.
I love the change, the travelling and have really appreciated spending time with all the adorable animals !
Over the years I have looked after a bevvy of animals - Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Birds, Chickens, Mice, dogs, 6 different cats and even a Rat at one stage :-)
And have looked after a flatmates dog for an extended time a few years ago. He was a Labrador and loved to play fetch and go for long walks, we played for hours!.
And the photo? Turns out pigs love massages too ! Lol
I am confident with animals and always seem to have a good rapport with them all.
Short or long House-sits are fine as I am happy moving and enjoy new areas to explore. I am thinking of getting a van to travel in so that will be fun!
My previous employment was as a Disability Support Worker (18 years in this job across both Countries).
I am a non-smoker. I walk each day and am learning how to 'work-out' at the gym and have energy enough to mow the lawn if you need a bit of extra work done around the house whilst you are away.
I have a suitcase and not much else so won't take up too much space :-)
I am clean, tidy, responsible and animal loving and have a number of references from past Landlords and friends to vouch for me.

Kathy did a house sit for us for 4 weeks, she took our dog for walks most days weather permitting, Kathy also sent us updated emails & photos of our dog on her walks. She also looked after our chickens & budgies,we came home & the house was spotless & the dog happy as. From the moment I spoke to Kathy I knew I would feel so comfortable having her stay in our home and keep our Dog Dusty company. Kathy’s communication was on point, giving updates while we were away. We came home and the house was immaculate, like no one had been here, Dusty was very well looked after and hardly noticed we were home. Kathy is an amazing house sitter. She took care of our house and kitty cat for a month. She was very accommodating and catch-up with us a couple of times before our trip. We had an incredible holidays knowing that our house and pet were being well looked after. The communication was great and she sent us updates and pictures quite regularly to let us know how things were going. We returned to a cleaner house than what we left and a very happy cat. Kathy was a fantastic housesitter who cared for our cat and elderly dog as well as we would. She regularly let us know all was okay withour animals. Our house was spotless on our return.
We are extremely pleased and would highly recommend her.
