I am a Kiwi and have lived in California for 40+ years. I go back to NZ just about every year. House sitting is a great way for me to be a Kiwi for a little while and see a bit of my family in Christchurch.
I have been volunteering with cats & dogs since 2006 when I worked for the Golden Retriever Rescue for 6 years; picking up Golden's from shelters, walking them, interviews and doing a home checks for new adoptee's. Cat rescue volunteer once a week in a large pet store cleaning and socializing cats/kittens, fostering many.
I am now retired and I own a 15 year old Mini Pincher, Brutus and am fostering for a Cat Rescue a 4 year old black cat named Fraser.
I did my first sit for a small Goat Farm in Hurunui, Canterbury in September 2022 for 5 weeks. It was wonderful. They had a cat and dog which I had to look after daily and just keep an eye on the goats.
I love to be in the countryside and back in my home town of ChCh.
I would love to house site for you. My next visit to NZ will be September 8-22, 2024.
