We're Glen and Kat, a tidy, respectful, and considerate non-smoking couple, previously based in Wellington. We both enjoy hiking, meditating, reading, exploring new places, beach days—and of course, we love animals!
Kat grew up with German Shepherds, a Rottweiler, Shih Tzus, several cats, and even a stray turtle she rescued while living in the Philippines! Glen has had several cats over the years and jumps at any chance to spend time with dogs. Before we started house sitting, he volunteered with The Dog Share Collective, regularly walking dogs around Wellington. Since then, he’s loved caring for cats and dogs in various homes, from playful pups to relaxed senior pets.
We’re happy to follow any specific routines or instructions to ensure your pets are happy and comfortable. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and videos to give you peace of mind. Since we both work remotely, we’re able to dedicate loads of time, attention, and care to your pets and home. We’ll also keep your space tidy, bring in mail, and ensure everything stays secure while you're away.
All we ask is a table/desk space for both of us, as we work from our laptops during the day.
We understand that trusting someone with your precious pets and home is a big decision. We’d love to jump on a call or meet in person in Auckland to see if we’re the right fit. Glen and Kat house sat for 3 weeks during July school holidays 2023.
Despite the sit being arranged at short notice they made sure to arrive to Auckland in good time for us to be able to meet in person. We felt very comfortable leaving our home in their hands.
Additional to caring for our home we have 3 cats and dog to look after! Our dog had only recently had knee surgery and so required special rehab exercises daily which Glen and Kat undertook very diligently.

Glen and Lat were great - good comms prior to the sit, came round for a meet and greet before booking then again just before sit to get instructions and meet the animals again.
We came home to a clean house and happy pets.

Glen and Kat looked after our house and Toto for only a few days but their communication was excellent and they even called in earlier so as we could meet them. Toto is getting on now and so has a few ailments that need care but this was no problem to either Glen or Kat. Would happily have them back and recommend them.
Glen and Kat were fantastic sitters for a week taking care of our house and our cat Jessie. Great communication, and the house was lovely and tidy and Jessie very happy. Thank you! Recommend to all.

Glenn and Kat are incredible pet and home sitters. They cared for our elderly Labrador and Burmese while we were away for two months, and were happy to stay an extra month, a total of three months. They are respectful and deeply caring. They work remotely so are wonderful company for pets. We got beautiful pictures regularly. It was obvious they were happy and cared for. Our cat had health issues and they organised and paid for a vet visit while we were out of contact.

Glen and Kat were wonderful house sitters. We came home to find a very settled dog and a spotless home. The photos Glen and Kat sent to us while we were away were lots of fun and showed a happy little dog. We felt very lucky to have Glen & Kat watching over our house and pets. They seemed very trustworthy and genuinely open and friendly. They kept us regularly updated on our pets and we were relieved to see everyone looking happy. They took the best photos and it was great to get updates from them while we were away.
When we came back they tidied the house so it was immaculate for us - a real bonus after a long flight.

Glen and Kat did a fantastic job looking after our reactive rescue dog Ludo, who can be hard work. They took good care of the house and the plants, and kept us updated with photos and messages of how things were going back home. I’d absolutely recommend them, and wouldn’t hesitate to have them house sit for us again in the future.

Great communication and a well cared for dog.
Glen and Kat were fantastic house and dog sitters. They were easy to communicate with and sent us lots of photos of our very happy looking dog. The house was well looked after and very clean when we returned. Our dog was very well taken care of, she was very settled and content when we got home. I would highly recommend Glen and Kat. They did an awesome job and made the whole process stress free. Would happily use them again.
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
