Deborah & Thomas

Hi there! We're an international couple (husband is American, I'm British) who are keen travelers, enjoying the various sights & taking in the wonderful architecture each new place offers us.

This year, instead of sightseeing outside of Auckland (and paying for associated accommodation expenses) we are keen to house sit in order to help us save up for an overseas trip to see my family in the UK for Christmas 2024. Loss of earnings has put a dent in our savings-forecasting, with Thomas recovering from a concussion since mid last year. Thankfully he is mostly recovered now and working again!

A big reason we don't have our own pets is because we are renting! Thomas dreams of us getting a dog...

Pet experience:
- Thomas grew up with a number of dogs and trained many of these. We have pet-sit for a member of Thomas' old church in Taupō before and I loved walking Bobby.
- I had a rabbit when I was in high-school. I was responsible in feeding, watering and cleaning out his hutch. He was a handsome, tame and lively blue Dutch who lived past his 10th birthday. I'd say we did something right there!
