We're Tracey & Marcus, an honest, responsible & reliable couple that have recently sold our lifestyle block on the West Coast & taking some time off work whilst contemplating the next place for our home for just the 2 of us.
The kids have left the nest & we currently have no pets of our own, so we've decided house-sitting is perfect for us right now. This way we can still be in the company & joy of animals, which we can be fully dedicated to, as well as keeping a home & garden maintained to our high standard. We are particularly clean & tidy and only want to house sit in clean & tidy homes.
It also gives us the chance to check out different areas & to get to meet people & their pets :)

We have experience of house sitting for friends and friends of friends, over the years & now through these sites.
Our belief is that the best pet care service is at the pet's home environment where they feel most comfortable & secure, and we acknowledge that they are sharing their space with us.

We've owned our own dogs, cats, horses & rabbits and have walked dogs and fostered cats & kittens for the SPCA.

I've worked with horses as a trek guide & been an animal wrangler on a film set in Queenstown, so I'm competent & confident handling horses & large animals. I've also worked as a teacher-aide & owned my own Juice Bar Business.
Marcus is a certifying plumber/drainlayer with 30yrs experience. He's currently having a wee break from his self-employed business of 15yrs, but he does have his van & tools on hand should you require any plumbing or home maintenance done :)

We're active & healthy, nature loving, quiet living, positive people & we don't smoke/vape or drink, except for the occasional glass of red wine with a nice meal.

Clear communication is important to us & we listen respectively & intently so as to fulfil your requirements.

Having owned our own businesses, properties & pets we understand the need to have your home, garden & pets respected & cared for in safe, loving hands in your absence and we can assure you we take this responsibility very seriously.

We want to make things easy & help in any way we can so that you can thoroughly enjoy your time away & relax with the peace of mind knowing your home & fur babies are in the best hands. We want you to return to happy pets, an immaculately clean home & no stress or having to do anything., and for this reason, we bring our own bedding/sheets/pillows & towels with us to each house sit to save any washing & bed making when you get back.
Being 2 of us we can also include gardening, lawnmowing, house-cleaning, etc., whilst still being fully devoted to your pets.

Yet again we need six stars! Marcus and Tracey came to stay the night before we left and we had had a lovely time round the table with them and showing them round our property. On our return a week later (a day early) we came home to dinner, the house super tidy, gardens looking great and to two happy housesitters. I would highly recommend Tracey and Marcus. They looked after our two cats and house for two weeks. During that time they communicated regularly with photos of our cats while also enquiring as to what they could do to help around the garden including offering to mow the lawns and prune the roses which was fabulous. They left our house, garden (and even our garage) immaculate, whilst also leaving baking and a small gift. I can’t thank them enough for all that they have done and wish them well.

Tracey and Marcus were lovely house sitters, we came back to a super tidy house. It was lovely to walk in and find it tidier than we left it plus the sweetest wee gifts from them. Our big cat, Anchor, clearly loved Tracey and spent a lot of time nestled up and getting cuddles. Tracey and Marcus were a pleasure to meet and have house sit for us. Our cat was very well looked after as was our house and garden, Marcus even mowed our lawns which was a great bonus to come home to. The house was spotless upon our return with a vase of roses, a lovely appreciative card, note and small gift. We would have them back in a flash to housesit again. Tracey and Marcus were wonderful sitters for Rosie. The house was immaculate and Rosie was relaxed when we returned home. They kept us up to date with photos and news, even a little poem about Rosie. They also agreed to feed Rambo the lamb for us which was last minute. Highly recommend Tracey and Marcus to look after your pet and property.
